Please note that this morning's service is cancelled due to the severe weather. I understand that the concert this afternoon is also cancelled. Please stay safe.

Sounds like the weather won't be fit to venture further than the church hall this Saturday so why not come to our coffee morning and cake stall. Bacon sandwiches too. All welcome.

A much needed service if anyone with spare time on Mondays or Thursdays is interested.

Some of our giant Easter crosses that we decorate and tie to the churchyard trees are falling to pieces. Does anyone have any suitable wood to make a couple of replacements please? .... Or better still is there anyone out there willing to make a couple of crosses about 5 or 6 ft high please?

An exhibition of Spring/Easter themed wreaths and decorations is planned in church for the Easter period. We are in need of various items that you may want us to recycle: 🐣Predominantly orange coloured dress fabric, plain or patterned (bright green or yellow would also be useful) 🐣Hessian/jute fabric & ribbon 🐣Easter decorations such as rabbits, eggs & chickens 🐣Artificial flowers... If you have anything of this nature to donate, please leave it in the collection bin for BCDP in the church porch or with any church member. You may also like to think about creating something yourself to exhibit. Beautiful, imaginative, quirky etc for visitors to enjoy looking at Ideas may be found on Pinterest.co.uk searching for Easter spring wreaths decorations.

Now you've finished your Christmas cakes and chocolates it is time to replenish at the cake stall this Saturday. Coffee and bacon sandwiches on sale too if you fancy a late breakfast or early lunch.

Thank you also to the people who keep donating tinned food and warm clothing to our collection bin for the Barnsley Churches Drop in Centre outside the church hall. Rev Maureen, spent a morning helping the team who provided a staggering 150 breakfasts to the homeless and needy last Monday and can confirm that your donations are much needed and gratefully received

It’s becoming a traditional Christmas Day occupation to scrape the wax out and put the 150 glass tea light holders in to the dishwasher after the Christmas Eve candlelight service. It was lovely to have a church full of people. Happy Christmas to all!

Christmas Eve at 4.00 pm is our Crib Service. A short simple service aimed at children and families. It is a short pause at the start of festivities to remember the story surrounding the birth of Jesus. Do come along whatever your age!

Christmas Eve at 6.30 is our popular candlelight service of carols and readings. The candle flame represents Jesus coming into the world to guide us from all the world's darkness. It is a beautiful start to Christmas. We hope to see you there!
