Sheffield Hallam's award winning society. Regular meetings, workshops, socials & several performances a year all contribute to the community of HSU Theatre

HSU Theatre has something for everybody, we welcome members from a huge range of courses, ages and backgrounds.

We are one of the largest non-sporting Societies at Sheffield Hallam Students' Union, and wish to expand our reach further! You don’t have to have experience in theatre, and if you don’t want to perform, we offer huge opportunities to get involved in a variety of activities be it, Backstage (including Technical support such as Lighting and Sound), Marketing, and of course - performing. Also, we offer members the opportunity to propose shows at the end of each semester.


We give members the opportunity to partake in lots of entertaining and exciting activities alongside their studies. We have regular socials, drinking and non-drinking, so we can continue the fun outside of performances.


The Society is an award winning society and was given the Sheffield Hallam Students' Union Student Award for Outstanding Society of the Year in 2012, as well as being nominated for several awards at the Society Awards!
