The late Stanley Williams has passed away on the 13th June aged 93 years at Ashcroft Care Home Hady. Born in Danesmoor Stanley has lived in the area all his life, Stanley was a local coal merchant with his families business Williams Fuels. In his spare time he enjoyed breeding red factor canaries who he won awards with in the national shows. Stanley leaves behind his son Malcolm and daughter-in-law Marie, grand children Nicola and Christoper and great granddaughter Mia. The late Pauline Churm who has sadly passed away on the 15th June at Claydon Lodge Nursing Home, aged 78 years.
Pauline who was born in chesterfield and lived locally in the area for the last 53 years was a keen gardener who also enjoyed walking and taking holidays to Skegness. Pauline leaves behind her son Anthony and daughter-in-law Dorita along with her brother Maurice and Sister Patricia.
... The funeral will take place on Thursday the 27th June in St Lawrence Church North Wingfield at 2.00pm followed by burial in the church yard.

The late John William Wilson has sadly passed away at home, aged 78 years. Born in Brampton, John was a lifelong local resident who enjoyed the outdoors mainly camping, fishing and taking walks around the countryside enjoying the wildlife. John leaves his wife Gillian his 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Tuesday 25th June at 10.30am in St Bartholomew's Church, Old Whittington followed by burial in the church yard. The late Alan George Coates has sadly passed away on the 8th June at home ages 81 years.
A life long resident of Chesterfield Alan was once a miner at both Arkwright and Markham collieries, along side this he used to design and build go-carts at JJ Blow's before moving on to be a publican/Landlord of the Wellington Hotel on Spencer Street before his retirement in 1999.
Alan enjoyed doing crosswords, puzzles and watching quiz shows and joining in with the indoor pub games and ...socialising with friends at the Dunston Inn. A big family man who enjoyed his short breaks away and trips to the races.
The funeral is to take place on Monday the 24th June at Chesterfield Crematorium at 1.30 pm followed afterwards at the Dunston Inn.

The late Bryan Garbutt passed away on the 2nd May at home aged 81 years.
Bryan born in Clay Cross, and a resident of Grassmoor since moving there in 1947. Bryan worked as an underground materials officer for NCB Markham Colliery before moving onto the many roles he had in various organisations including former secretary of the Derbyshire Darts Association. A Labour Party member for over 40 years, a life long member of Grassmoor Working Men's Club and former team captain for B...urgh-Le-Marsh Bowls Club in Lincoln. He leaves behind his wife Mary, son Dale, daughter-in-law Helen and grandchildren Rory and Ailsa. A private funeral has taken place.

Born in Grassmoor and lived in Chesterfield all his life Tony a retired Coal Miner loved watching Chesterfield F.C, playing darts and dominoes and spending time with his family. Tony leaves behind two sons Andrew and Jamie and a daughter Amber along with three grand children Millie, Ollie and Elenie. The late Mr Neville Joseph Greensmith passed away on the 3rd April aged 71 years. Neville, born in Bolsover worked at British Furnaces and went on to finish his working career at Biwater Pipes, Clay Cross.
