the afternoon tea was lovely the service impeccable the care and attention shown to us was wonderful and just before we left they gave my mum some flowers

Went yesterday with my husband and loved everything about it. Polite and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings although a little bit cold, beautiful food and drinks. We had the magnificent tea deal and would highly recommend this! Are coming back at the end of the month.

We were given a voucher for Xmas and went today, the service was amazing - such a lovely place with great food. The atmosphere was really pleasant and, even though it was quite busy, it wasn’t too loud and the servers were really attentive. Will definitely go there again. Brett xx

We went here as a family on 13.11.17 for my mum's 80th birthday, after someone recommended it, and after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and Facebook. I can only add to the excellent reviews. The afternoon tea was delicious and the service excellent. The waiter brought a bag to the table with treats for my mum to wish her a happy birthday. The whole atmosphere and experience was thoroughly enjoyable. My mum used to enjoy going to a certain tea rooms in York which I thought couldn't be surpassed, but I think Jameson's would give any "famous" tea rooms pause for thought. We can't wait for our next trip to Jameson's. Thank you to all the staff.

Took my partner there for a surprise birthday treat it was excellent from start to finish.We were met by a friendly ,polite waitress who showed us to our table .Went through the menu and wonderful array of Cakes .Afternoon tea was beautiful so much we took our cakes home .From the atmosphere,service ,China teapots weŕe fantastic .My partner received a birthday bag of treats and a rose .Nice touch!! I was taken to Jamesons Cafe and Tea Rooms yesterday for my birthday by my daughter, accompanied with 2 of my friends, really lovely place, was made to feel very welcome by all the staff...food was gorgeous, as my daughter had said it would be, she's been several times before. Like others have said we all had to take our large piece of cake home as we were full with the tasty sandwiches and absolutely beautiful home made Large scones. I would definitely recommend this place, and will definitely return ÔøΩ.xx

Having made our minds up for a breakfast outing, my friend, who now lives in New Zealand and I , headed off to our usual haunt! We had a wonderful time eating fab food, catching up and being waited on superbly by all the staff. Having arrived just after 10am we only left just before 2pm not because of anything else other than being determined to sample cake before we left to help soak up the gallons of Earl Grey we had drunk as we caught up on life! China cups, laundered napkins, faultless service and a great atmosphere made for us as we are now becoming ‘ladies of a certain age’! Thank you all so much!

Had a very good gluten free "magnificent afternoon tea" this Sunday in which the owner and staff also very kindly and without any fuss, tailored the tea to suit some other rather awkward dietary requirements whilst my husband had the normal tea. Highly recommended!
