J. Newsam detailing & autocare LTD was set up by James Newsam (ME! ) in a small village near Sheffield in 2016.
I grew up around performance and classic cars, going to shows and events from a very early age. My father always enlisting my help in detailing preparing his cars for the events. Quickly gaining a real passion for making dream cars look and perform their best. From this experience I found I had quite the knack for bringing cars to their best and built on this over many years and with many hours spent pouring over my father’s TVR Cerbera. When I got my first car, a classic mini cooper, I trialled various methods and perfected my skill. Still as a hobby I would spend a day getting my subsequent cars ready for shows and prepping friends and my father’s cars for shows. Began helping out and working at local body shop which gave me chance to further holm my skills and see the ways the other professional body workers would go about getting the best results they can, using a combination of these and the skills already gained I feel I can produce the best shine and finish level possible. So after many years I decided it was time to make the leap into the unknown and take the hobby and passion and make it my business. Promptly quitting my job as a precision machinist, set up the business and working to be the best detailer out there. Another thought is that its rarely a convince and to take your car in, so i work mobile from my classic van.

So our main area is in show car /performance /classic car / high end mobile vehicle detailing. This is the service where the vehicle is cleansed, small marks and scratches removed, shine and colour restored, surface smoothed and then protected, getting the vehicle as close to as possible a better than new finish. All details and areas of the car will be addressed to give the car maximum impact but also protect it from contamination to preserve its shine and impact for as long after the session as possible.

I also do some very basic mechanical work, this is again from a passion maintaining and restoring my classic cars and working part time at a garage and formerly an engineering company. The main areas I tend to work on is hydrogas suspension pump ups (I my self being a Metro and MGF owner and so experienced as to this quirky system), Car laying up and re-commissioning, rust prevention, and servicing.

I do a basic wash and shine service for car dealers, this, although not quite my passion and speciality, is a service again here I strive to be the best, I can offer you great value and your customers a much brighter and better vehicle to give them the best initial experience of their new car possible and am priced very reasonably especially when booked in quantity.
