Went on my birthday Saturday 5th august 17 for the 4 course menu and it was excellent, my Wife had lamb shank and I had Barnsley chop, both perfect. Really enjoyed the food and service, just a bit of a numb bum by the end of coffees 😀

Visited yesterday (14/6/2017) and sat outside as the weather was lovely. We went at lunchtime and they didn't have the full menu on so we opted for the 2 courses for £13 (I think?!). Portions were big and were definitely good value for money! We will definitely be returning and may even try out the evening menu next time!

Visited last night for my mums birthday, food was delicious and every member of staff we came across had exceptional manners. 4 courses for the price is amazing value I would recommend it to anyone & everyone!

Staff where brilliant and so friendly, food was excellent been a few times and food always excellent will be coming back again,good choice on menu ,wonderful chef food to die for. Cosy restaurant and wonderful atmosphere and staff look after you. Had a real good evening thank you.

Loved everything about this place! Sat out in the sunshine and had the two course meal which was beautiful! All the staff were really welcoming and friendly! It was busy but the service was still excellent! Will be booking to go again very soon!!

It's a fab place . Food is perfect EVERY time. Warm friendly atmosphere not locals but visit often. Staff are great. service spot on. Came to Wentworth bistro a few weeks ago for my birthday. Its our place to go for a lovely meal. We have been coming here for many many years and we are never disappointed.

The food is always amazing. Wonderful menu, always beautiful food...my favorite is lamb shank! Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Would encourage anyone to come here. It never fails to be our favorite place for a lovely meal. Big thanks to the staff.

Ate here yesterday for the first time to celebrate my Aunts 90th Birthday. Can’t fault a thing, service & food were fabulous! My mum said the salmon was the best she’d ever had! (it’s her go to dish on any menu!). I’d also like to thank the staff for assisting when my mum fell, they were really great, patient & helpful ~ and after being checked over at Sheffield’s Northern General & given the all clear we made it home! Thanks again, we’ll be back & hopefully without incident next time!

Ate here for first time last night. Brilliant, great menu choices on all courses, food served quickly and hot attentive staff . Loved everything I ordered (pork fillet bit chewey but very tasty) will definitely be back. Already recommended to some of my friends.

A lovely pretty cosy restaurant in a lovely village. Had lived three miles away for 57 years but never visited, don't normally dine so extravagantly, but this was a well deserved treat. Had fishcakes in tasty chilly sauce, mushroom soup, famous Barnsley chop and vanilla cheesecake. All courses were delicious and service attentive and efficient.

We all enjoyed our meals but those of us that had the fish cake starterwere a little disappointed saying they tasted more of potatoes than fish. The prawn cocktails and garlic mushrooms were lovely. All main courses were excellent. Will come again

Very popular place, we were lucky to get a table. The meal was 4 courses which left me feeling really stuffed, there is a broad choice of options so something for everyone. Staff were lovely very attentive and deserved a medal having to serve in a busy restaurant in that heat.

Must be 15>20 years since our last visit. Used to visit often but fell off our radar.

It as to be said thst even after all this time the food and service was faultless.

Won't be waiting another 20 years.

Lovely place food fantastic nothing was to much trouble only gripe was as soon as you'd finished one course your next course was served straight away next time we'll be wise to them apart from that staff great and would recommend it

Delightful ambience , attentive staff and great food. Maybe a few too many tables and the chairs could be more comfy. We enjoyed a celebration lunch and booked at short notice but everything was great. It's also nice to have a large free car park next door...

Been several times now and the food is always good but it always feels cramped , tables are quite small hence there's not enough room to put all plates side dishes , drinks etc , staff pleasant enough and no doubt I'd go again

Went here on 29th April for my husbands birthday. The staff were nice. I had prawn cocktail followed by lasagne and chose a sweet which was a strawberry Charlotte. The only fault I could honestly make was that the prawn cocktail was covered in Home made Marie Rose sauce which had a lot of mayonnaise in it and there was rather a lot of it covering the top of my cocktail. When I got home I felt very uncomfortable and ended up with a lot of abdominal discomfort. I took antacids and had an uncomfortable night. Sadly I had a terrible bout of diarrhoea when I got up, which continued until lunch time. My concerned husband called the restaurant to tell them. He was offered to look around the kitchens if he wished and he was told “ No one had complained for a long time. “ Nothing else was said or done. When I felt better I messaged the restaurant myself to explain what had happened. I felt like the owner would take no responsibility for my illness even though I explained that besides a bowl of cornflakes around 9am I had not eaten all day. I was not offered anything whatsoever in the way of an apology or compensation and I have not heard from the restaurant since.

It’s not the way I would have expected to be treat from a place like this.
