You ask what happens to the maize when we close, so today we have had contractors cutting it for the cows to eat.

Hopefully not too many of these today! The paths are good as nobody was on them yesterday;not muddy, despite yesterday's rain. We will be open from 10.30am

User

The forecast was wrong - It is raining steadily already at 10.30, so won't be opening - sorry!!

User

We are dry at present but forecast rain later today, so come prepared and the earlier the better!! ( but who can trust the forecasts, they are so often wrong!!)

User

It is dry, sunny and windy at the moment, so open from 10.30am. We had very little rain last night, so no puddles in the maze. Everything is in great shape. Come and GET LOST!!

User

Yesterday was our 2nd year visiting with my 14 and 9yr old and my sister and her 2 girls 6 and 8yr old.

Great value for money, lovely country fair style games and activities all included in the price, brilliant maize maze design, loads of space, great vibe, fab food and their own ice cream. Not commercial like other mazes are. Fantastic day out

User

We visited bank holiday Saturday... Had a lovely morning with our 2girls (7&8yrs) good old fun with the maize maze, wooden games, go carts and not forgetting the welly wanging. Very friendly and helpful group of young people supervising and very nice homegrown meat in the BBQ burgers. Date in the diary for next summer. Thank you

We had a lovely day at the Maize Maze on Monday. My children (9yrs, 6yrs & 1yr) thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was so much more to do than just the maze. Even the Grandparent's had a lot of fun!!! We combined it with a walk over to the park and spent the whole day there. The staff were wonderfully friendly. Will definitely be back next year! A great end to a lovely summer holiday.

User

We had a fantastic time, kids loved everything and want to come back! Fab maze and kuds said ice cream was delish!

User

Took a Rugby League team of 10/11 year old boys on Saturday. Great fun in the maze, loads to do afterwards and beautiful home-made burgers and ice-cream to round it off!!! Sarah and her team were extremely hospitable and accomodating!!! Fantastic place to visit great value for money!!! Thanks from everyone at Heysham Atoms!!

User

So much more than we expected. The kids loved it and were confident to go off in pairs. This was down to the Staff who were lovely and very child friendly.

We enjoyed a bbq lunch. Fresh burgers and homemade sausages from local farms that were cooked to order!

Next came the tractor ride up to the farm to meet the calves and learn about the running farm. Absolutely loved it and great that our kids were asking questions and getting answers at they understood.

Then back down to the maze for the best homemade icecream. To finish off the kids went to go back into the maze.

Thankyou for a lovely day with no hidden costs. A definite recommendation from us and the kids are all asking to come again!!!

My son & I have been 3 years on the trot during the summer holidays, this year we managed to get his dad to come with us ... every year we have fun leaving us waiting for next season to come again. Would definitely recommend Maize Maze for an alternative day out & their burgers are epic too!

User

Me and my two girls visited yesterday and we had a great time! Spent over two hours in the maze determined to find all the clues! Then another hour or so with girls playing on karts, hay bales & wooden games. BBQ Food smelt amazing, just gutted I'd already had lunch. Also reasonably priced and enjoyed good cuppa whilst girls enjoyed there lovely ice creams. Staff had great attitude and were really helpful. Would definitely go back again! Thank you guys

User

Love it here... simple fun family time. Bails of straw to climb on and run around, good little games spread around. The maze is excellent... a little easier than previous years (if you keep the map!), although we only found 2 of the letters. Excellent ice cream and the burgers and hot dogs smell amazing. Loved it.

User

Had an extended family trip to the maze on Thursday with 6 kids age 4-10. Loved being outside playing old style games, climbing on bales like I used to as a kid, and trying to navigate the maze using the map! The older kids attempted the maze without adults and got totally lost - thanks to the maze masters for launching a rescue mission! Everyone had a great time and even learnt something on the tractor ride, followed by the most delicious freshly made ice cream made with fruit from the farm. Really enjoyable day out.

User

Had a great time with the family. Staff are all really helpful friendly and polite. BBQ burgers and the ice cream are yum. A fun afternoon out!

User

Had a great time getting thoroughly lost! Good for grown ups too. Nighttime walks are freaky! The staff are super lovely. Thanks!

User

User

First time visiting today it was brilliant. Visited with my sister, my children and nieces ages ranging from 3 to 12 and everyone had a fab time. Great value for money and food and drinks were very reasonably priced. I feel i have to mention the staff as their attitude and general warmth with people was lovely especially the ladies on the bbq and ice cream stall. Will definatly go back.

User

Brilliant day out for my dads 69th birthday with the whole family! Loved the retro garden games style approach, the maze kept us busy for a good hour or two (!). Had a picnic followed an ice cream too! What's not to love?! My only request is that there is always a deal for families of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) and with a single child we always miss out, so could there be a group discount too perhaps?

User

As a private nanny, this is a regular haunt of ours with every family I've worked with our summers wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Maize Maze. The children love it and there's so much to do! The team there are amazing and do a fab job of making it a great day out for all ages

User

A really great day out for all the family. No high tech anywhere, just lots of fresh air and walking.
