A very sad day yesterday marked a year since the passing of my grandma. But we wanted to make it a day of positivity and happiness and just remember her for the wonderful woman she was!
We wanted to raise money in her honour and donate it to The Alzheimer’s Society as my grandma suffered with Alzheimer’s for the last 9 years of her life.
Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets we have drawn the winners and will be contacting you shortly.

In honour of my grandma Maureen, who passed away on the 2nd of August last year due to Alzheimer’s in which she had suffered for 8 years, We are currently selling raffle tickets to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s society, Without the help and love of all things vintage, Memory Lane may never have existed. Tickets are £1 a strip and are available at the tearoom now! The raffle will be drawn on the 2nd of August and all profits from that day will be donated to our chosen charity. Lovely busy morning and we have tables available now until we close at 4. We have homemade brownie and chocolate covered flapjack as well as Chocolate and Cherry scones again! Or why not treat yourself to one of our milkshakes? Come and join us!!!

Wow, felt like id gone back in time. The food is delicious, service is super, crockery from days gone by. Would recommend this authentic place. My 9 yr old daughter loved it too.

What a lovely tearoom! For years I've loved finding places and trying their afternoon tea..but nothing tends to compare to Jamesons on Abbeydale Road as it's known to be the best place in Sheffield. HOWEVER..after visiting this little gem at Woodhouse, I honestly feel they're both on par with each other - in fact Memory Lane probably has the edge because of how much more convenient it is to get to for me!

I came here with my partner yesterday and we had the 'Posh Afternoon Tea' at £14 each. It consisted of a choice of 4 sandwich fillings, a scone with cream and jam and a piece of cake..oh and of course a pot of tea!

The sandwiches were all lovely, a nice decent size and 2 of each filling. The scone was very nice also and a nice normal sized one which was great! (I've had afternoon tea in other places and they tend to give you a little tiny scone which is over in 1 bite!). Then a choice of homemade cake - i went for traditional Victoria sponge while my partner went for chocolate cake. Both get top reviews from us! Soft, fresh and fluffy. I actually couldn't eat all my piece because I was too full by that point!

Will 100% be returning again and again to this place. It's so lovely to find a proper little tearoom where it's clear alot of thought has gone into everything - from the menu, to the deco and then of course the food and the presentation of it. Will recommend to all family and friends! :)

Went with my daughter for afternoon tea for two which was a birthday gift from my brother and sister in law. Had such a lovely afternoon and the food was amazing. It is such a beautiful place. Looking forward to going again.

We came for breakfast a few weeks ago and it was delicious!



We came back today and had The Posh Afternoon Tea. It was absolutely wonderful! We wasn’t sure what portion sizes were like but you get so much that we didn’t have space for our cake! We were able to take them home along with half of my scone!



The place is beautiful, love the interior! The atmosphere and music is so relaxing and we didn’t feel rushed.



The staff are fabulous and so friendly!

Visited the tea rooms yesterday and will definitely go again. The staff are friendly welcoming and helpful. There is a good selection of salads and sandwiches both hot and cold. Also cakes galore and so much more.My friend had a salad and I had the ploughman’s. Both plentiful tasting good and well presented. Don’t just take my word for it go and try it for yourselves you won’t be disappointed.

This is just what the village needed too many pizza shops and chippys here

Lovely mothers day great price some places were double price for the same day! Just enough sandwiches few little extra touches and lovely cake we all had different and they were all nice.

I don't give 5 star reviews because nowhere is ever perfect however it would be massively unfair to give this venue which has attracted 149 five stars out of 150 reviews, anything less. This place is a complete shock to find in Woodhouse.. The decor is delightful, the service is superb, the menu is varied and the food is beautifully prepared and presented. Oh and the prices are great too.

A note to the owners; I can't find a way to submit a trip advisor review which I'm sure would help you if you did what you have to do to register.

In summary a quality establishment on every relevant measure. Good luck.

Came here today with mum, (a sprightly 81), sister and a young visitor from Belarus, for English afternoon tea. This place is just lovely: so charming and pretty. The food was beautiful (cake to die for!), the prices excellent and the service friendly and personal. I've been before but the others hadn't and they were as enchanted as I. And my little guest loved Dean Martin singing in the background! Visit if you can. You will be glad you did �

Absolutely love this hidden gem just off woodhouse village.

Traditional breakfast gorgeous, not greasy at all, presented very well.

Can also vouch for their afternoon tea, beautiful.

Staff are lovely, they don’t rush you, the place has a lovely ambiance.

Recommend the Memory Tea Rooms to all my friends and family.

Great for a catch up over coffee, and also been to a 21st there. Would be a great place to hold a baby shower or wedding anniversary celebration etc.

Absolutely love Memory Lane Tearoom, the decor and atmosphere are lovely, so are the staff and the food and cakes are to die for. Nothing is too much trouble and they are fabulous when it comes to accommodating a large pram. I have and would recommend the tearoom 100 times over! AMAZING!!
