Anyone looking for a children’s party where you have nothing to do these are your people sit back relax and watch your children have the time of there life xx

We had Sunday lunch there yesterday it was lovely the staff was very helpful xx

We booked all hotel rooms out for our wedding this last weekend and I can honastly say the beds were so comfy the rooms were all spotless and staff couldn't do enough. Also a big thank you to Julie and staff for all your hard work on Sunday our wedding couldn't have gone any better then it did so thank you

Been coming here for the last 5 years had my first date with my husband here 5 years ago yesterday and decided to have my wedding reception here a year ago yesterday. So yesterday we again came for our anniversary. Absolutely love this place always great service great food and great people.

Very impressed with my short stay here. Room was excellent, clean and toasty warm on a cold and snowy February night. staff very friendly and accommodating. Have stayed in a lot worse places for more money. Would definitely recommend

Just been for a mothers day meal, table for 10, most of us had the Sunday roast and we were all pretty impressed. Got all the extras we asked for and even though it's was quite busy our food came on time and the service was great too. Thumps up from me.�

Lovely food and good value, all felt a bit rushed, staff darting about and they took my husband's empty plate before I had finished mine.

A nice relaxing setting especially since it’s refurbishment pleasant friendly helpful staff good food nice setting and only just around the corner 👍👍👍👍👍

Wasn't the best meal we've had for the price....mixed grill didn't look to great and it wasn't cooked how we asked. Other meats weren't great. Chips over cooked. Kids pizza came out rock hard and dry as a bone , this did get changed tho when asked and was better. Only thing that made the whole experience ok was the kids enjoyed the outdoor play park and desserts and the waitress who was on (yesterday around 1pm) was lovely. Friendly and chatty. Not saying won't ever come back again but won't be in any rush to return.

Wanted our wedding reception here but they offerd me tiny room first but then they shown me the big room it was lovely and I would have had my reception here but not untill u invite 80 guests or more , which is wrong bcos I'm not just going to invite just anybody just to fill numbers very dissopointed and would not recommend !!!!

Poor service. The waiting staff clearly don't want to be there. Food was nice but the waiting staff never seemed happy, rude at times. No one came to clear the table for a good hour after eating. Was fairly busy as it was warm but not crazy busy. Surely a pub like this would welcome a busy pub on a day like this... Not this one!

Firstly the shower heads are fixed to wall do very hard to have a nice shower you only get small towels to dry with the young girl behind the bar didn't make u welcome as if she didn't want to Serve us when we did get our chicken burger it was dry and hard then we went down for breakfast to order a full English we asked for well done bacon which came out normal the sausage was small and shrivelled and then had to ask for more orange juice to be filled up not a great experience

Booked a table for 20 about 2 months ago, told if we had the balloons and banners etc that they would have everything ready for when we came down as this was for someone's 50th birthday, got there no balloons or banners had even been put up.. id dropped them all off at 10am that morning and was told it would be ready, so when we arrived we had to sort out the decorations as they didn't know where they'd put them plus 'rearrange the tables as they'd put 4 on a another table! Even the customers on another table commented on why hasn't staff put the balloons and stuff out I've been going here for years and it's always been lovely! Disappointed!!!

Went yesterday with my family.

Later in evening started to feel unwell I hadn't eaten since going to olde house.

Work up this morning with terrible stomach pains and sickness, now suffering from food poisoning

Well what can I say!! so glad I didn't pay for this meal, I won't be back again.



I won a competition on Facebook for two main meals which was to celebrate their reopening after a refurbishment. Which the decor is lovely and have done good job from what I have seen. But the food and service is awful.



We arrived at the venue and waited at the bar to get a drink and to let them know that we were there. From the reaction I got they were surprised to see us even though we had to pre booked a time a couple of days prior. We was then seated to a dirty table even thou there was a few clean ones around us but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt as then had been busy apparently and that's why they wasn't ready for our arrival. Not being funny but there was only two of us eating!!!! Not 20!!! Can't see why they couldn't have had a table ready for two which was pre booked two days ago. The lady said that she would send someone over to clean the table and guess what nobody turned up!!!! I ended up cleaning the table my self in the end.



Food, well this was mediocre and they should sack the chef for serving such terrible food. We both ordered a mixed grill and the chicken was dry and hard - over cooked in my opinion, the onion rings were rubbery like they had been sitting under heat lamps since this morning and the gammon steak had some peppery coating on it which wasn't stated on the menu and tasted absolutely awful.



We was going to have pudding but didn't want to spend any more of our money in there the drinks were enough.

Second time Iv been in under a month first time I ordered the sirloin that had more grissle and fat than meat and came well done when asked for rare! Complained and the waitress shrugged shoulders at me. Went again yesterday with some friends had a mixed grill chicken was dry steak was again well done and when we complained and they replaced it they just of found the fattyist peice they could find. Will never go again

My family and I used to think a lot of this place but sadly my opinion has now changed. We went in yesterday and it was ridiculously understaffed despite it being incredibly busy. The wait for food was over an hour which was annoying but understandable. Although the staff were friendly and apologetic to us, eating there just wasn't a nice experience. You could tell that the food was rushed and no care of effort was put into it at all...but when management are selfish and prioritise saving costs over employing more staff at busy periods (it was Saturday in the school holidays...it is to be expected to be busier at times like this and they should have really thought ahead and been equipped to deal with this) situations like this are inevitable. The poor guys (the staff) were rushed off their feet and that along with the poor quality of food really did ruin the atmosphere for us. If things don't change, we will be more inclined to go elsewhere for a a family meal from now on. Sorry guys, you've let us down.

You could tell that the food was rushed and no care of effort was put into it at all...but when management are selfish and prioritise saving costs over employing more staff at busy periods (it was Saturday in the school holidays...it is to be expected to be busier at times like this and they should have really thought ahead and been equipped to deal with this) situations like this are inevitable. The poor guys (the staff) were rushed off their feet and that along with the poor quality of food really did ruin the atmosphere for us. If things don't change, we will be more inclined to go elsewhere for a a family meal from now on. Sorry guys, you've let us down.
