Brilliant and friendly staff. I wanted to get back into swimming for my health, and had no-one to go with. Being a moderatively shy person this was my biggest issue, however, I had nothing to worry about as the staff were all so welcoming and friendly. All facilities very clean and easy to use, swimming pool very clean, with a nice temperature in the competition pool. 7 pound for a session, but you are paying for the best, definitely thinking about membership.

Staff are friendly and quick to help, instructors from swimming to fitness classes and in the gym all are great bunch. I will give 5 Star if it wasn’t for the cleanliness of the swimming pool showers and changing rooms.

On 1st of April I message Ponds forge via Facebook to ask about swimming lessons I got reply saying some one will get back to me as soon possible no one did so yesterday (14th April) I thought ok am going ring Ponds forge the person I spoke to was very helpful so tonight I took myself to Ponds forge I have never been the most confident person in the water so i was like first kid at big school again ūüėē so I walked in spoke to the receptionist Anna who straight away put me at ease then I went down for lesson nerves kicked in again then I meet my instructor Rebecca who too but me at ease straight away After my first brilliant lesson I walked up past reception & Anna saw me called me to ask how it went. Thank you Anna & Rebecca you both was lovely & very welcoming See you next week ūü§ó

This would be an excellent if they would sort the lack of mirrors out in the gym it's absolutely ridiculous there are so many places you could put some individuals ones and along one of the walls for when you have set your own circuit up but they only have them in the weights area which is stupid. I use pays you gym as i work away and ponds forge are the ONLY only one without mirroed walls it's very annoying and frustrating you can't check your form which is dangerous. I'm not the only person that has complained about this and the lack of response from management regarding this is shocking they basically said we won't do it but cant give an explanaion as to why! I defo will be leaving once my contract is up becuse of This issue which is a real shame

It's an international venue with so much potential and if this were in private hands, I am sure that its potential would be exploited to the max but sadly it's state owned and lacklustre attitude and it shows. It really needs a good face lift or at the very bare minimum a damn good clean but nobody manages to approve or instruct this to happen. I was here yesterday and it was almost empty and one wonders why on what has been the hottest day so far in 2018.

I've been coming to Ponds for 20+ years and have been extremely loyal. Unfortunately the venue has gone down hill dramatically in my view; it's dirty and its as if many staff don't care. The gym is now quite dated. With all the competition around I feel that Ponds need to pull their socks up. The only thing keeping me coming back are the instructors.

Had a great couple of hours there this morning in the leisure pool. The sides of the pool were awful though really slippery. Had to over balance on the way back from the slides and feet went sliding just out the changing room. Pool clean, changing rooms good, just felt quite precurious around the pool side.

Dangerously open for anyone and everyone to wonder around without question. Homeless people sleeping in the cafe and in the lane swimming/diving pool area to keep warm, recent incident where someone acted in an obscene way. Goes to show security is not stringent enough........

With the real threat to the uk in terms of terror threats pondsforge is a very very easy target filled to the brim with children!

was ok.. pool was cold.. yes you swim and warm up however when i wanted a quick break it was freezing... slightly overpriced..and the women’s changing room smelt of urine

Visited today and arrived at 7.15am

The toilets and pool viewing were filthy

Looks like no cleaning has been done for days

Standards seem to have dropped from what they were

The pools where very cold and there was sand at the bottom bod the baby pool for some reason! will not be going again

Pool full of grit/dirt/sand and tiles in the centre wave pool got mould growth on them, not the first to comment which shows nothing has been done

Ok so i cancelled my membership 6 weeks ago by phone and in writing. Didn't hear back from you, so cancelled my DD this month, and now getting emails about overdue payment. Can someone please contact me asap to cancel the charges

Not a good venue for a boxing event. Very disorganised. As a VIP told to just find a table and sit there, if someone is sat at your table tell them to move. We ended up sat at a silver table instead of gold but we weren’t shown where to sit. Foreign waiting staff didn’t know what a gin and tonic was. Popadoms were on table with dips but no plates. Naan bread sat for an hour before meal was served and was already cold...don’t think they were warmed to start with! All in all venue was garbage, only saved by a good night of boxing!

I visited 2 weeks ago, the facilities seem good but the cleanliness was awful the pool was full of grit and dirt I didn’t want to put my feet down! The changing rooms were very cold also dirty including the toilets. Could do with more family changing rooms because we stood freezing waiting for a big enough cubical for me and my son to fit in. I expected more looking at it from the outside so was disappointed. Not a place to take a toddler with all the dirt and germs so won’t be visiting again.

Well what an awful experience of just getting kids in for a swim

Waited 10 min in queue upstairs to be told to join another queue downstairs , totalling 40 mins which will leave us less time for parking ,

Asked to speak to manager to be told duty manager is unavailable



I understand busy but the disorganisation is shocking ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Will not be coming back again



Oh and flumes not working either ÔŅĹ

Well after receiving a complementary ticket for a family swim because of the chaos of the spooky swim in October we thought we would use our ticket today, NEVER AGAIN! it’s absolutely filthy we stayed in the water for ten minutes if that and I had to get out. You can feel grit under your feet the floors around the pool are black with dirt, the tiles have got mould on them. The family changing facilities are vile I would never put a baby on them changing shelves. You a see a sand build up on the pool floor around the edges. This is supposed to be an international Sports Centre how can you allow the leisure pool and changing areas get so run down? It needs closing and a very deep clean. I’m surprised your getting away with opening with how bad it is. We will never go in that pool again it’s disgusting!

It's a really brilliant centre but as soon as they hold an event, they don't give a toss about the local members. Don't bother taking out a membership if you like swimming; the opening hours are so limited you will never ever get your money's worth.

The facility is getting worse (swimsuit dryer is gone, the steam room is broken). I tried attending other fitness classes like Pilates and Yoga. The mats are torn and smelly and dirty. Really disappointing place with £30/m membership.

On 1st of April I message Ponds forge via Facebook to ask about swimming lessons I got reply saying some one will get back to me as soon possible no one did so yesterday (14th April) I thought ok am going ring Ponds forge the person I spoke to was very helpful so tonight I took myself to Ponds forge I have never been the most confident person in the water so i was like first kid at big school again ūüėē so I walked in spoke to the receptionist Anna who straight away put me at ease then I went down for lesson nerves kicked in again then I meet my instructor Rebecca who too but me at ease straight away After my first brilliant lesson I walked up past reception & Anna saw me called me to ask how it went. Thank you Anna & Rebecca you both was lovely & very welcoming See you next week ūü§ó

This would be an excellent if they would sort the lack of mirrors out in the gym it's absolutely ridiculous there are so many places you could put some individuals ones and along one of the walls for when you have set your own circuit up but they only have them in the weights area which is stupid. I use pays you gym as i work away and ponds forge are the ONLY only one without mirroed walls it's very annoying and frustrating you can't check your form which is dangerous. I'm not the only person that has complained about this and the lack of response from management regarding this is shocking they basically said we won't do it but cant give an explanaion as to why! I defo will be leaving once my contract is up becuse of This issue which is a real shame

It's an international venue with so much potential and if this were in private hands, I am sure that its potential would be exploited to the max but sadly it's state owned and lacklustre attitude and it shows. It really needs a good face lift or at the very bare minimum a damn good clean but nobody manages to approve or instruct this to happen. I was here yesterday and it was almost empty and one wonders why on what has been the hottest day so far in 2018.

I've been coming to Ponds for 20+ years and have been extremely loyal. Unfortunately the venue has gone down hill dramatically in my view; it's dirty and its as if many staff don't care. The gym is now quite dated. With all the competition around I feel that Ponds need to pull their socks up. The only thing keeping me coming back are the instructors.

Had a great couple of hours there this morning in the leisure pool. The sides of the pool were awful though really slippery. Had to over balance on the way back from the slides and feet went sliding just out the changing room. Pool clean, changing rooms good, just felt quite precurious around the pool side.

Dangerously open for anyone and everyone to wonder around without question. Homeless people sleeping in the cafe and in the lane swimming/diving pool area to keep warm, recent incident where someone acted in an obscene way. Goes to show security is not stringent enough........

With the real threat to the uk in terms of terror threats pondsforge is a very very easy target filled to the brim with children!

was ok.. pool was cold.. yes you swim and warm up however when i wanted a quick break it was freezing... slightly overpriced..and the women’s changing room smelt of urine

Visited today and arrived at 7.15am

The toilets and pool viewing were filthy

Looks like no cleaning has been done for days

Standards seem to have dropped from what they were

The pools where very cold and there was sand at the bottom bod the baby pool for some reason! will not be going again

Pool full of grit/dirt/sand and tiles in the centre wave pool got mould growth on them, not the first to comment which shows nothing has been done

Ok so i cancelled my membership 6 weeks ago by phone and in writing. Didn't hear back from you, so cancelled my DD this month, and now getting emails about overdue payment. Can someone please contact me asap to cancel the charges

Not a good venue for a boxing event. Very disorganised. As a VIP told to just find a table and sit there, if someone is sat at your table tell them to move. We ended up sat at a silver table instead of gold but we weren’t shown where to sit. Foreign waiting staff didn’t know what a gin and tonic was. Popadoms were on table with dips but no plates. Naan bread sat for an hour before meal was served and was already cold...don’t think they were warmed to start with! All in all venue was garbage, only saved by a good night of boxing!

I visited 2 weeks ago, the facilities seem good but the cleanliness was awful the pool was full of grit and dirt I didn’t want to put my feet down! The changing rooms were very cold also dirty including the toilets. Could do with more family changing rooms because we stood freezing waiting for a big enough cubical for me and my son to fit in. I expected more looking at it from the outside so was disappointed. Not a place to take a toddler with all the dirt and germs so won’t be visiting again.

Well what an awful experience of just getting kids in for a swim

Waited 10 min in queue upstairs to be told to join another queue downstairs , totalling 40 mins which will leave us less time for parking ,

Asked to speak to manager to be told duty manager is unavailable



I understand busy but the disorganisation is shocking ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Will not be coming back again



Oh and flumes not working either ÔŅĹ

Well after receiving a complementary ticket for a family swim because of the chaos of the spooky swim in October we thought we would use our ticket today, NEVER AGAIN! it’s absolutely filthy we stayed in the water for ten minutes if that and I had to get out. You can feel grit under your feet the floors around the pool are black with dirt, the tiles have got mould on them. The family changing facilities are vile I would never put a baby on them changing shelves. You a see a sand build up on the pool floor around the edges. This is supposed to be an international Sports Centre how can you allow the leisure pool and changing areas get so run down? It needs closing and a very deep clean. I’m surprised your getting away with opening with how bad it is. We will never go in that pool again it’s disgusting!

It's a really brilliant centre but as soon as they hold an event, they don't give a toss about the local members. Don't bother taking out a membership if you like swimming; the opening hours are so limited you will never ever get your money's worth.

I have just cancelled my membership. I come there for swimming only and all too often the swimming pool is limited availability. The facility is getting worse (swimsuit dryer is gone, the steam room is broken). I tried attending other fitness classes like Pilates and Yoga. The mats are torn and smelly and dirty. Really disappointing place with £30/m membership.

Brilliant and friendly staff. I wanted to get back into swimming for my health, and had no-one to go with. Being a moderatively shy person this was my biggest issue, however, I had nothing to worry about as the staff were all so welcoming and friendly. All facilities very clean and easy to use, swimming pool very clean, with a nice temperature in the competition pool. 7 pound for a session, but you are paying for the best, definitely thinking about membership.

Staff are friendly and quick to help, instructors from swimming to fitness classes and in the gym all are great bunch. I will give 5 Star if it wasn’t for the cleanliness of the swimming pool showers and changing rooms.
