Very interesting to go back in time to see how the monks lived nice place to walk round also dog friendly staff very friendly and informative would recommend it
Lovely place. So restful. The security man Michael was great and also doing jobs he should not have been, / litter picking, even Dog do. So that peoples experiences were good ones. Well done Michael
Lovely place, very peaceful and inspiring. The staff were lovely, very friendly and informative. The only downside is the approaching cobbled lane and lack of parking...but I'm sure the monastry wasn't built with modern visitors and cars in mind! I will definitely be returning.
Lovely and peacefully place to visit .. a bit of bumpy track to go down too x
Had a lovely walk round all the ruins. Such an awesome place to be. Well worth the entrance fee
Had a lovely couple of hours with the kids running around on a lovely sunny day and finished it off with a picnic in the grounds.
Great place to visit. Took my young son, the woods are lovely to walk round and we had a great time exploring the ruins. The ruins are well kept and very tidy. The only thing that let's it down is the car park and the narrow cobbled road to it but parking is free so can't complain really.
Beautiful place. There are many places like this for people to visit. My partner and I joined English Heritage yesterday and we will certainly be going to as many places as possible.
Beautiful place for a walk. Our dog agrees with us.

Roche Abbey is actually set in a nice location not far from Maltby, South Yorkshire and almost into Nottinghamshire. Surrounding villages are the beautiful Stone and Firbeck. to mention just two. Nice area for walking. Lots of public footpaths. Roche Abbey is owned by English Heritage.
Roche abbey is a lovely place to visit very peaceful had a great walk around the woods too
Me and my partner only called in and to be honest it was late in the day around 4. But definitely go again and do it properly both walks and in summer.
Lovely place but not much parking. The grounds are very peaceful and it is well kept
Lovely place but not much parking and rough on the car on the approach road
Lovely and quiet ideal for a picnic quite a lot of Foundation stone still left s ok you can imagine how big the site was.
Didn't go into the ruins but had a lovely walk around it with the dogs and got some great photos only reason we didn't go in is because we have previously
Access and parking not great but lovely site and worth a walk round.
