We stayed one nite celebrating our friends Birthday there ! A really friendly place to go they could not do enough for us ! The food was lovely also the breakfast we had the morning we left as fantastic ( and plenty of it ) our rooms were lovely ! Would definatly go back again .
We had a lovely time the room are lovely nice and clean staff great food love enjoy are time there
We had Sunday lunch which we have done many times and we have never been disappointed the food is all home cooked and the staff are all very friendly and nothing is ever to much trouble fir them. We will be going many more times I am sure.

Stopped at the Shoulder for one night after attending a local Wedding. What a wonderful experience. Room was clean and tidy with the most comfortable bed. Breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here on a Saturday night absolutely fantastic staff where great lovely landlady food great can’t wait for our next stay in December definitely gets 10/10 from us..
Pleasant couple of beers in a welcoming warm pub .
Lovely pub, very friendly and helpful staff and cheery locals. Had lunch there, the cheese and onion pie was to die for and so were the home made chips and lovely fresh salad. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu soon!

Love this place. Staff are excellent and obviously take pride in there business. The rooms are superb, food out of this world and the area is beautiful at excellent prices. We both felt like VIPs and will definitely be back to this golden place.
Have been going there on occasions since moving to Derbyshire 20 years ago. Always made to feel welcome.
Good variety of real ales.
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the weekend with huge freshly made Yorkshire Pud and everything freshly cooked. We were able to sit in the sunny beer garden which was a bonus. A lovely lunchtime all round!
Had Sunday lunch here today, though there were 8 of us and we hadn't booked Lyn found us a table. Food and deserts were lovely and so was atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome and never had a bad meal . Credit to Lyn and her team. Will be back soon x

Great food and lovely atmosphere! Came here with my husband's work lot at weekend for his Christmas party.. and had a lovely evening. Feeling very festive now and ready for Christmas. Highly recommended. A great atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent food and drink.
Friendly, great room. Lovely views. Great place to base ourselves for a walking weekend. Beer was good too.
