Steel City Opry came into being in early 2013. We promote occasional workshops and concerts featuring musicians from the U. S. on tour in the UK, providing a unique opportunity to learn and enjoy this music from the source. The workshop tuition is top class. Good food and drink and the cosy atmosphere of the Harland Café set the scene for our informal style ‘house concerts’ where there are opportunities for floor spots and an open jam session to finish the evening.
Steel City Opry is the brainchild of Rose and Issy who have been enjoying the buzz of the American tradition of close harmony singing together for many years, more recently stepping out as On the Back Porch with friend and partner Bob.
