Elephants 🐘
Who’s watching the big week at the zoo tonight? 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️
🔹 The elephant’s very large ears are used to radiate excess heat away from the body
... 🔹 There are three distinct species of elephant left in the world: The Asian elephant and Africa has the forest and savannah elephant species
🔹 The word “elephant” comes from the Greek word “elephas” which means “ivory”.

So we are going to look at zebras 🦓
🔹 A zebra’s stripy coat is thought to disperse more than 70 per cent of incoming heat, preventing the animal from overheating in the African sun
🔹 Like horses, zebras sleep standing up, and usually only when in the safety of a group
... 🔹 The pattern of a zebras stripes are different for each individual zebra, making them each as unique snowflakes! The black & white striped pattern of their coats is a good bug repellant, keeping horseflies and other blood-suckers at bay. A group of zebras is called a 'zeal
Such beautiful animals 😍

So we thought we would look at some of the animals and share some facts
So we will start with a brown bear 🐻
... 🔹 Brown Bears Brown dig cozy caves with their long claws
🔹 Brown bears are omnivores, which means they eat just about anything
🔹 Brown bears aren't just brown. Some are cream or black
Just look how cute they are 😍

We’ve just had our son Alfie’s 5th birthday party at the Jungle today and I can’t thank the staff enough.

The kids had an amazing time, there was loads of food (too much actually so the dads did well), only thing I’d say is there should be some carrot sticks or something along those lines so the kids get some veg. Otherwise no complaints as it was all cooked fresh and was served hot.

The play equipment is fantastic for all ages, we had children ranging from 1-11 and there is something for all of them to enjoy.

I can’t fault the cleanliness of the place today, it was spotless when we arrived and there were staff regularly coming round to clear away any dishes/rubbish.

I love how food and party bags are included, it was definitely fantastic value for money and we will be back again!

Thank you so much, we all had an amazing time!

We have had our sons first ever birthday party today for his 6th birthday tomorrow m. Alfie is autistic so he sometimes gets frightened but the staff was amazing with him. We also had Marshall the mascot there you made Alfie’s day as he loves him. We cannot thank you enough for making this little boys birthday party even more special

My son attends preschool at the Jungle Day Nursery and has done for 3 years. They are absolutely brilliant. I can't believe how much my son is coming on. He will definitely be ready for school in September.

The play centre my son loves, he would spend all day there if he could. Plus he as well as playing he likes to sit and relax (as he says) with some yummy lunch and a banana milkshake.

I would recommend

My little boy always loves the jungle and the parties the staff are so friendly. It’s a great place to visit and I highly recommend it to other families. We come here very often keep up the great work ladies xxx

User

Just want to say a massive thank you to the staff today, they held a mini disco and really entertained the kids even though it wasn’t a party just a standard day!! They have both loved it x

Had a lovely couple of hours with the kids! Lovely clean facility and plenty for the children to do. The have a lovely time running of some steam and I manage a wonderful indulgence hot chocolate! Yum yum. The menu looks lovely and the food I saw coming out of the kitchen was well presented. The staff are lovely and you can have a good chat with them while they are doing there job! The centre catered for all my children with an aged range of 2-11. Thank you

First visit this afternoon! Come from Mansfield and wanted to avoid Nottinghamshire play centres as it’s the holidays. My son has really enjoyed himself. Reasonably priced entry and drinks. We didn’t have food but there was a good variety and it looked nice when I saw others having theirs. Will definitely visit again. Lots to do and a very full play area meaning it wasn’t too busy with all the children (it wasn’t particularly busy but there were over 30 kids and my son didn’t have to wait long to go down the slides etc). Clean toilets and it’s great that they have smaller sinks and steps for little ones to reach the bigger sinks if necessary (my son used it to stand by the toilet!) staff were pleasant and welcoming. Staff regularly cleared away tables too.

Overall, a great indoor play centre. Look forward to returning :)

Fantastic place! The staff are lovely and the food is delicious. Taken my niece a couple of times, and she never fails to enjoy it. The parties are great fun and the staff are so energetic when doing them Would recommend to anyone!

User

Fab play centre! I often go to the toddler mornings with my 3 year old boy, we had breakfast with Skye today which was lovely! All the staff are great and helpful too. Would highly recommend.

User

Excellent establishment, staff were really friendly and approachable. 1st time we have visited and we went to meet marshall. Included tea too the food was great and my boy ate it all portion size was fairly generous too.

User

Came in today with my niece . Staff very good although very busy food came out in good time. I had the homemade burger and chips. Food was amazing . Nice to see a play centre doing home made chips. Would defiantly recommend this place to anyone . My niece loved it and can't wait to come back . Thanks

User

Brought our granddaughters, 3 & 5, again today. They love it. Plenty to do and clean and airy. Tried the pizza rolls - delicious would be a good addition to the menu.

User

I used to love bringing my daughter here when she was younger and loved the passes that they used to do. They were really good value for money. The facilities are good and £4.95 is about the norm for play areas in our area. You can easily spend a couple of hours here and burn off some steam with your kids. Just ashame it's not a bit closer to where i live or my daughter would ask to go all the time.

I would recommend this venue.

User

Had a great time at play centre with niece nephew and 10 month old son, great for the different ages all had lots of fun, great separate baby area and food was good too, the after school play and dine offer was fab

User

A good play area to take kids too , I love how you know the kids are safe and they can’t run out !! Cheap food menu too which goes along why when you have more then one child to feed .

User

we came yesterday the food was half an hour wait and when it came they walked past amd gave an order to the women who ordered after us.. when it came they brought a childs portion of pasta yet a adult meal was paid for..which added on a further 10 mins wait.. my kids burgers came m they were vile they were dry crumbly and looked orange like they were spicy inedible... not worth the 22 pounds i paid... very disappointed

User

What a shame this great play area (which my kids loved) is let down by over priced, undercooked and bland food and lack of staff.

it was clear to me and the other adults in our group that the staff were struggling to cope with the high demand of the school holidays. They were working as hard as they could but were unable to keep up with serving at the food counter, making drinks, bringing out food orders and clearing tables

User

Won 2 free meals was 3 of us so paid for one meal and drinks. Was told be a half a hour wait the paid meal come out within 20 min the 2 free meals took a hour to come out and looked like they have just been slapped on a plate. If going to run a competition then should be treat just like any other paying customer. Just because 2 meals was free doesn't excuse it. Still cost fuel to get here. As well as £15 for the one meal and drinks. Ridiculous. Won't be coming back.

User

Went with my daughter and two Granddaughters to play today also had my Grandson who is just 12 months and doesn’t walk yet. The jungle play centre charge £4.95 per child in the school holidays but during term time my 12 month old can play for £3.50. What a rip off! The best part he was asleep in his pram and probably would not have woken up whilst we were there and they still wanted me to pay. I have been to Chuckles play centre Clay Cross this week paying £3.50 and Brewsters at The Lock keeper who didn’t charge as my Grandson can’t walk. I decided not to stay and left my Granddaughters to meet their friends won’t be returning any time soon.
