CHARMING GRADE II LISTED COTTAGE IN THE HEART OF THE ELAN VALLEY
This beautifully restored semi-detached cottage offers a wealth of history, original features from the early 1900’s and enjoys an elevated positon within a peaceful hamlet. It has stunning views across the Elan Valley and the woodlands of RSPB Carngafallt Nature Reserve.
Located within Elan village which has a unique character and is the only Arts and Crafts ‘model village’ in Wales. The Elan Valley is part of the rugged Cambrian Mountains, an unspoilt conservation area made more compelling by dams, rivers and reservoirs. Keen anglers can enjoy the abundance of wild brown trout and grayling The Elan Valley Trail is a hidden gem with surfaced paths following the route of the old railway line; ideal for walkers and cyclists with cycle hire available at the Elan Valley Visitors Centre within 1 mile of the property. Further afield is Rhayader, said to be the oldest town in mid Wales and home to the Red Kite feeding station, or visit Powys Castle a medieval fortress perched high on a rock above its world-famous garden terraces.
The stylishly finished accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room, 1 further double and 1 twin. Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC. Downstairs WC. Lounge /diner: with TV, DVD and woodburner. Kitchen /diner: well-equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge /freezer and microwave. Utility room: with washing machine. Outside: enclosed landscaped gardens with numerous seating areas and direct access to RSPB Carngafallt Nature Reserve. Amenities: gated gravelled area for parking. Bed linen, electric, towels, central heated and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 well-behaved dog by arrangement. Location: pub, restaurant 1 mile, shop 3 miles. Arrival: 3pm.
Dogs are charged at £20. 00 for up to 7 nights, £40. 00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20. 00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Just back from a wonderful week. The house is amazing, quite perfect. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the garden is lovely too. We took our dogs and were delighted to see they had been well catered for too and the location is perfect. My personal hate is hard floors in a lounge but there was very good quality carpet throughout and this made it so homely and luxurious. Thank you for a fantastic stay at no. 10. A huge amount of work and thought has gone into creating the house as it is today - congratulations!
Beautiful cottage, really enjoyed my stay. The cottage is really comfortable, well equipped and nicely furnished/decorated. The showers are great both in the bathroom and the en suite. Lovely peaceful and tranquil location in a very beautiful area, had a lovely holiday.
A really beautiful home from home. Very tastefully decorated, fully equipped with everything you need and set in the Elan Valley - truly spectacular scenery. The cottage was spotlessly clean, maintained to the highest standard and we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived until we left. The nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in by far �
