Good afternoon on what is a beautiful day 😁 We at the sqn are looking for individuals to join our civilian committee. Without this in place we will not be able to run the sqn and the town may lose the air cadet presence. I would hate for this to happen. The cadets offers youngsters aged 12-18 outstanding opportunities that they would not be able to get without the cadets. The civilian committee looks after the financial side of the cadets supporting the sqn in fundraising. ... They meet once a month. Well what a busy few weeks 😁 between Fieldcraft weekends, PTT (partial task trainer - flight simulator), flying, marsehlling, and section visits to the RNLI we have also been able to gain qualifications in First aid and First class qualifications. I'll let the photos do the talking...... What other reasons to join do you need? Still taking on new cadets and open to new adult staff too. #whatwedo

Well we've had an extremely busy couple of weeks... firstly we had 3 cadets pass their first stage of syllabus training and gain their first class badges. We also had two cadets presented with their blue radio communication badges which was due to their hard work and commitment on a recent training camp. We then had all the cadets who attended last week presented their blue heartstart (first aid) badges after partaking in their heartstart training session. This week we are going to start working on the pre Duke of Edinburgh award. Come and join us as we have so much more going on in the next few months 😁 #whatwedo #reachyourpotential

Some inter-sqn "down time" saw 2420 sqn and 1574 sqn challenge each other at a team building event at Battlefieldlive outside Kilgetty, Pembs today. A great time was had with good weather and a chance for squadrons to mix and make friends.. we will be staging more events like this down west and urge all to join us.. thanks to the guys at Battlefield Live for the experience today and well done to Cdt Sgt Edward Carpenter (2420 Sqn) for planning it. We had an exceptionally busy parade evening last night. We had a visit off our sector help Sgt Butler from 2420 Whitland Sqn and the Wing Warrant Officer. We also had a successful civillian committee meeting. We had 3 cadets pass their first class training and 2 cadets given their blue radio badges. Still not too late to join and unlock your potential. Also the decision was made to have grey and red hoodies for our Sqn. Thank you to everyone who voted, but the ultimate vote was taken by the cadets 😁😁

This Wednesday, 16th May. We will be holding our first unofficial civillian committee meeting. If you'd like to help your local squadron but don't want the commitment of becoming adult staff, then this role is for you. It will be held alongside our parade night from 1900-2100 (ish!) I look forward to seeing every single one of you 😁
