1st Knighton Rangers are a part of Girlguiding. This page is to show some of the fun activities that we get up to. We are open to young women aged 14-18yrs

The Senior Section is a flexible, fun programme open to young women from their 14th birthday until their 26th birthday. There are a number of ways you can be involved and the opportunities are immense, from international volunteering to improving your CV.

The Senior Section offers young women the opportunity to make new friends, learn useful skills and take action on issues they care about. Members of The Senior Section explore more – more activities, more adventure and more fun. They are young women aged 14 to 25 who can choose from a huge range of unique opportunities, including travelling around the world, taking part in exciting advocacy campaigns, getting involved in worldwide community projects and helping girls all over the UK by volunteering with Girlguiding. A member of The Senior Section can take on as few or as many roles as she wishes, including:
• Young Leader – members aged 14 to 18 who work with a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide unit
• Leader – members aged 18 + who are also qualified Girlguiding Leaders
• Peer Educator – members who are trained to deliver Girlguiding’s peer-education programme on issues affecting today’s girls and young women
• Advocate – members aged 14 to 26 who are part of Girlguiding’s youth panel which discusses the issues girls care about and seeks change.
