1St Porthmadog Scout Group

1st Porthmadog Scouts welcome BOTH Boys & Girls, from ages 5& 3 /4 upwards. We meet every week during term time, we learn new skills, play games & have FUN.

1st Porthmadog Scouts is part of the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. We offer young people from 5 1 /2 years to 25 year olds fun and challenging activities, experiences, adventure & help each other make a positive impact in the community.

We offer adventure & activity to hundreds of thousands of young people across the UK.

1st Porthmadog Scouts have 4 sections:

• Beavers (ages 5 ¾ - 8 years) Wednesday 5: 15 – 6: 30pm

• Cubs (ages 8 – 10 ½ years) Monday 5: 30 – 7: 00pm

• Scouts (ages 10 ½ - 14 years) Thursday 6: 00 – 8: 00pm

• Explorer Scouts (ages 14 – 18 years) Monday 7: 00 – 9: 00pm

We have a termly subscription from each scout, which currently is £40 per term.

All leaders at 1st Porthmadog Scouts are volunteer’s, they give their time for FREE.
Volunteering your time is easy, FUN & flexible, and there is always a role to play, no matter how you get involved. We will train, support & welcome you.

Porthmadog Scouts are expected to wear a uniform to meetings, events and parades. Each section has their own uniforms and once ‘invested’ (Officially joined the section) you will be given your own Necker, Woggle and investment badges.

Each section must learn the Promise for their section & know the Scout Law.
