211 South Wales Battery - Royal Artillery Description

The outcome of recommendations of the FR20 Commission, to examine the future shape and role of the UK's Reserve Forces, predicts an integrated, trained Army of 112, 000 by 2020, comprising 82, 000 full-time and 30, 000 part-time soldiers.
As the Reserves' only Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) Regiment, the soldiers regularly deploy and operate the Miniature Unmanned Air System (MUAS) Desert Hawk III in support of ground operations. Soldiers have also deployed as radio operators, clerks, drivers and logisticians.
The Regiment also has the honour to fire Royal Salutes in Cardiff to celebrate royal occasions and special events.
