With only a few days to go until our digital photography class begins, here’s a little bit about our amazing photography practitioner, Graham:
Born in Holyhead, he lived and worked in North Wales until the early 2000’s. Working originally as a graphic designer, it helped to provided him with a very strong sense of composition, form and colour.
... He moved to working and living in the United States for over a decade, this gave a powerful understanding of how photography can be viewed, out side of design. As he needed imagery to compliment his design work, he shifted from commissioning photography to working behind the lens. This way, he could fulfil his very specific vision and maintain creative control from start to finish.
In late 2009, he became a member of the Professional Photographers of America, PPA, which he is still a member today.
Upon returning to Wales in late 2014, a new love affair with his homeland, this time with a camera. Becoming reacquainted with it’s breathtaking landscapes and rich history. Discovering new dimensions to the home he used to know so well. Seeing it now with a greater appreciation and a bold creative insight.
