For the most part the PoW has served my family tremendously well over the years. It’s currently creaking under a decade of chronic mismanagement of the NHS and the more recent sheer incompetence of the idiot Jeremy Hunt, but the people working here remain committed to the highest standards of care. In an operation this size there are the occasional complaints, and there was that whole thing in the press recently, but generally they are hospital I am very glad we have.

All the doctors and nurses we met were friendly and helpful,keep up the good work

Absolutely disgusted with the way they treat some patients. They were extremely rude and judgemental. I found the nursing staff to be rather bitchy and unprofessional in the sense of mentioning patients personal lives (not even medical stuff) to each other as if their job was a social event. Dealt with a very very rude 'sister'. God only knows who promoted her, her attitude was vile

Had major orthopaedic surgery there in October last year. The level of care of the day staff was excellent and the aftercare was wonderful.
The only gripe I had was the loudness of the weekend night staff, some of them were talking and cackling so loudly that they kept waking the patients up.

Took my daughter to the maternity ward where the staff were absolutely fantastic during the night but must thank the two members of staff who were there during the next day Lisa and trainee Emma who fantastic not only to my daughter but to myself and other daughter as well. Only one complaint .went to canteen where a member of the public was there with her disabled son , a member of staff was heard saying f---ing visitors. Well if the job was getting to her she shouldn't be there .its people like us paying her wages absolutely disgusting .
