Disappointed by these guys. Like others I got a quote over the phone, they were certainly not cheap and it was made clear that they're not cheap - because they're better than the competition. I wanted a no-fuss partial clearance of a rented house so took a chance to go with them.

The lads were on time (early in fact), polite and happy to get straight to work. They made it clear that I'd be in their way so I agreed to leave them to it, go grab a coffee and put my feet up for a couple of hours - exactly what I wanted and was happy to pay for. However, when I returned I found that they had ripped a large mirror off the wall - it wasn't supposed to be removed and fair enough, I did say "Everything should be removed except xxx" without specifying the mirror, but when I say RIPPED off the wall I mean it. Chunks of wall and wallpaper were ripped off, with nails left sticking out and all sorts. So much for my deposit! To make matters worse, it turns out the (Already high) price I was quoted was without VAT, so an extra 20% went on top - this wasn't made clear at ALL on the phone.

A hole also mysteriously appeared in one of the rooms which I also need to repair. There was no offer to do anything about this, when I phoned their office they claimed that the hole was always there - so my word against theirs and I'm stuck on that one. No sympathy over the mirror, I still have no idea why they thought it would be appropriate to just rip it off the way they did. There were other mirrors in the property that were left alone, just this one got ripped off. Nobody thought to phone me to ask if this mirror should get removed, given that it was apparently in the wall so hard it wasn't coming off without ripping parts of the wall?

However, the most glaring issue I faced was a simple one for a cleaning job - none of the carpets were hoovered. I don't mean they did a bad job, I mean they didn't hoover at all and when I questioned this (After the lads had gone, of course) I was told "yeah the hoover packed in so I told them just to sweep it as best they could". Well given the gravel and debris left, I'm not sure any sweeping was actually done but more specifically I wasn't informed about this at any time, nor was I charged any less for this glaring omission - and again, not cheap, remember?

Eventually they agreed to come back with a working hoover and they did hoover up properly, but despite the inconvenience and unwillingness to own up to anything, I was flat out told "I can't give you a [partial] refund" - so I guess that's that.

Overall, it just feels like they were a group of chancers, using every trick in the book to squeeze extra money out of me and avoid any kind of responsibility on their part.
