ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE

I've never had the ''pleasure'' to work with anyone so unprofessional, rude, ignorant, arrogant and irresponsible as Sarah Thomas. Never came to check the fire alarms, problems with bills electricity. Rude and racist attitude towards the clients. Kept on messing up financially: requesting the rent before it is due, giving the wrong receipts and info. Refused to repair things that were already broken prior to my move in the property but ''hid them'' during the viewing. Kept on using her boyfriend to come instead of her and he doesn't even work for A1! Came in without any notification and just let himself in with a key not even bothering to knock. This list goes on and on, whatever you do don't go to A1.. You're better off being homeless than working with them and their ''magnificent'' properties.'

Didn't show up for flat viewing, waited in the rain for 15 minutes.

This is such a unprofessional company that is hard to believe that they still run their business! I have been waiting for MONTHS to get repairs done. They send people to fix issues without any warning. Engineers end up leaving their jobs unfinished while the company claims it was sorted.
After I reported a faulty boiler they ignored the issue. 2 weeks later they sent an engineer without any notice which seems to be a common practise. The other time they sent 3 people to fix one light switch and they refused to repair other issues in the property.
Dealing with this company causes a lot stress to me and my family. Im so fed up! Its incredible how many people in Aberystwyth have the same experience. I would not recommend A1Property to any landlord or tenant.

I am a full time student at Aberystwyth University and decided to go with A1 as they were cheap and seemed friendly when we first met them. As soon as the contracts were signed though things started going wrong, communication was terrible, no notice of access was given and when it was it was 'we will be around this morning'. Repairs were not done properly, workmen were given keys and told to enter without our consent or knowledge . We had a carbon monoxide leak which we were never told about (the boiler was in our neighbours part of the house) and went without heating and hot water for two weeks. No gas safety certificate provided, water leaking through from upstairs which the plumber failed to repair properly on several occasions over a few months. We had a mould problem caused by disrepair which they refused to deal with and repairs that were made were quick fix.
The stress of living in that flat ruined my year at university so much so that I had to go to the doctor about stress and nearly failed my exams.
After consulting shelter we tried to negotiate an early termination of the contract and were met with hostility. They even threatened to take our deposit but we got it back in the end.
Stay away.
