Hardly a day goes by where the issue of food waste is not mentioned in some way in the media. Growing recognition is being given to the amount of food that is thrown away each day in the UK, much of it still perfectly edible.

Aber Food Surplus is pursuing the development of a local network, shaped by the Aberystwyth community, that seeks to reduce the levels of 'surplus' food going to landfill or anaerobic digestion, and instead to redistribute this food for both social and environmental benefit.
