The cafe at the station is great: friendly staff and good quality snacks and drinks. Staff at the ticket counter are really helpful and professional. Parking is very limited and in short supply. Particularly if arriving after peak time, it might be difficult to find a parking space. There are often taxis waiting at the rank.
Cozy little station with sheltered waiting area on BOTH platforms. Northbound platform has a cafe with a very friendly proprietor who's always interested in talking to you/making you feel welcome.
I'm going to counter the guy who said 'no step-free access to southbound platform' and say there is. If you ask at the ticket office, they open the gate and actually HELP you across. So yes, good service.

Normally okay, the café is nice and the ticket machine is okay, but it's not the most practical, the station itself is quite nice.
no toilet facilities or coffe on a sunday pathetic waste of time rest rooms closed freezing cold day three passengers stood out in the bad wealthier fir one hour as train lat dirty and smelling if urine not surprising at toilets locked im only giving you a one star as zero in not a option
