Abergele Playgroup 'Little Stars'

End of term Halloween Party Friday 26th October for both morning and afternoon children 9-11.30 am - please note there will be no afternoon Playgroup on this day. Fancy dress optional for our Little Stars ­¤ż®­¤Äē­¤Äā­¤æ╗­¤ĢĖ­¤ĢĘ­¤ī¤­¤śŖ

Welcome to all our lovely Little Stars - you have settled so well at this very early stage of the new term/year ­¤śĆ­¤ī¤
This year again we are proud to say we are very busy and therefore we are now open for afternoon sessions 12.30-3.00 pm ­¤żŚ­¤ī¤
Just to confirm our fees remain very competitive at ┬Ż8.50 per session (minimum of 2 per week) - full week of 4 sessions is ┬Ż34 (Flying Start and Early YearsŌĆÖ funding available for qualifying children). All enquiries welcome ­¤ī¤­¤śŖ­¤ī¤

A big welcome to all our new Little Stars starting Playgroup- weŌĆÖre back tomorrow 5th September 9.00 - 11.30am ­¤ī¤­¤śŖ

Wow what can we say, totally overwhelmed with all the special gifts and thoughtful cards - we have had a very busy year with children and an Estyn Inspection. Today we received the attached letter from Darren Millar congratulating us, I feel very proud of our Playgroup and pass on my thanks and appreciation to all staff, parents/grandparents and our ŌĆśLittle StarsŌĆÖ. Good luck to all those moving on to big school and we look forward to the little ones returning on Wednesday 5th September.

Last visit of the year today for the children to sing to some of the residents of Abbeyfield - glad to say they all found their voices today - Da Iawn ­¤æÅ­¤Ä╝­¤Äż­¤ī¤­¤śŖ

We have now registered our setting for the Childcare Offer for Wales available from September 2018 - IŌĆÖve attached photographs of CCBC Flyer, a screenshot of the website page and a sample of the letter you would receive if you apply and are eligible. Our little climbing frame in the garden is getting quite poorly and needs replacing if anybody knows of something similar that their children have outgrown and no longer need could you please let a member of staff know or message us - weŌĆÖd be very grateful, thank you ­¤śŖ

WeŌĆÖve had some visitors to our Playgroup over the last couple of weeks - Jan the Lollipop Lady came to our morning session and PCSO John came to visit our afternoon session - both talking about safety awareness - the children really enjoyed both visits - especially pressing the buttons for the police lights and sirens - apologies to the clinic staff for the noise ­¤śé­¤æ«­¤Å╝ŌĆŹŌÖé’ĖÅ­¤Üö­¤Üō

We have all had a great time today on our trip to the SeaQuarium in Rhyl - thank you to everyone who came ­¤ÜŹ­¤ÉĀ­¤”Ć­¤ÉĪ­¤Éŗ­¤ÉÖ­¤ÉÜ­¤īŖ­¤ī×­¤ī¤< br>

Just a note to let everyone know we are still open Monday although the schools have a staff training day. however we will be finishing for the summer holidays on Thursday 19th July. Playgroup will reopen on Wednesday 5th September.

WeŌĆÖve had a lovely morning today visiting our local Fire Station - the children learnt about fire safety and enjoyed sitting in the fire engine and playing with the hose.

We are totally overwhelmed by your generosity this year - the money raised from our sponsored obstacle course has enabled us to buy an IPad for the children and replenish our stock of paper, paint & felt pens - thank you everyone ­¤Ä©­¤ō▒­¤ī¤

Just a reminder about our Royal Wedding tea party tomorrow ­¤ź¬­¤Ź░­¤źø! Children can come dressed in red, white and blue or as a prince or princess ­¤æĖ­¤Å╗ ­¤ææ­¤ć¼­¤ć¦

This week we have taken small groups of children to Glan Gele as part of their transition to big school. The children spent a morning/afternoon in the nursery class and met their nursery teacher. Everyone had a lovely time. More visits in a couple of weeks .

As you all know as part of the transition process we take the children on visits to Ysgol Glan Gele to familiarise themselves with the school. As we have a large number of children this year we are starting this process a bit earlier and school contacted us today to say we could take some children tomorrow morning and Thursday afternoon! More dates will be agreed as we go along so that all children will have this opportunity ­¤śŖ. Fingers crossed for nice weather ­¤ż×­¤ÜČ­¤Å╗ŌĆŹŌÖé’ĖÅ­¤ÜČŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ­¤ī×­¤ī ¤

Just a reminder that the children are taking part in our annual sponsored obstacle course on Friday (4th May) - if parents/guardians could arrive just before by 10.55am for morning children and 2.25pm for afternoon children I will open the doors at 11am and 2.30pm respectively. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan ­¤śé­¤Åā­¤Å╗ŌĆŹŌÖé’ĖÅ­¤Åā­¤Å╝ŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ­¤Å ģ­¤ż×

Our Samuel has been going since April but has been going now everyday since September, he looks forward to going and the staff are amazing with him, little stars has done wonders for him!! ’┐Į

My little boy has been going to little stars for 3 weeks now and although he's upset going in he loves it while he's there! All the ladies are so kind and welcoming to him and it's lovely to hear them singing songs as we wait to pick them up. He has come on leaps and bounds with his eating and speech since starting here and I can't wait to see how he progresses further! X

Our Samuel has been going since April but has been going now everyday since September, he looks forward to going and the staff are amazing with him, little stars has done wonders for him!! ’┐Į
