Abersoch Half Marathon Description
Taking place in the very popular and picturesque surf village of Abersoch, North Wales, with its narrow streets of bustling café’s, pubs and trendy surf shops, the Chaparral Abersoch Half Marathon satisfies the appetite of all levels of runners. It starts in the village center with hoards of spectators keen to support runners from all over the UK and takes in some sensational scenery as it winds its way over to Hell’s Mouth & some picture book villages before heading back towards Abersoch. To ensure a spectacular end to this challenging race, worthy of its stunning backdrop, the Half marathon finishes on Abersoch’s main beach with it’s golden sands. It’s a spectacular climax to the race with plenty of support from the crowds of spectators.
A professionally run race with a £1, 000 prize fund and some nice product prizes too. It includes bibtag timing technology, good marshaling, clear mile markers as well as prominent start & finish lines, drink stations at 5. 7 miles, 8. 7 miles, 11. 3 miles & the finish, medics & traffic management marshals, and a great after race party!
