Saturday: Starting off fairly bright with a brisk northerly wind, the wind should back off and get lighter through the day, so the bay should be fairly flat all afternoon. High tide is just after 10 and any small swell that’s still around should start to show after this, so just after 11am is going to be the best time to try and get in for a little surf . Sunday: beginning the way that Saturday left off, light winds from the North and a little grey with the odd light shower, the bay should be nice and flat in the morning, there could still be some small waves around after the high tide which should be nice and clean

Saturday: A wet and wild start to the day,and not improving too much through the day, strong winds and showery rain, but theres always a silver lining with a chance of some waves at sheltered spots like Porth Ceiriad 🏄‍♂️ .
Sunday: A much better day with no wind after lunch which will leave us with glassy conditions in the bay and plenty of sunshine. NORTH WALES SURF COMPETITION . We could not have asked for better weather and surf conditions today, a great turnout of competitors who made the most of the pumping clean swell.
Urien Davies-Hughes took the title of the Open 2019 North Wales Surf Champion, he selected some of the perfect set waves, pulling into some good hollow waves with a series of good turns sealing his winning place 🏆

Update for the NORTH WALES SURF COMPETITION tomorrow: Due to the change in the forcast we will now be running at PORTH CEIRIAD . We aim to set up for 9.30am and start drawing the heats for a 10 am start for the Open event. Juniors we will try and run after round 1 of the open if the conditions are favourable. ... Saturday: Stormy all day, strong winds from the South and swinging round West after lunch and very large surf. Please be very careful if you’re thinking of going in the sea, it’ll be pretty wet for most of the day although a little brighter 🌦 after lunch . Sunday: A different story with much lighter winds from the West, fairly bright with the odd light shower but also some sunshine 🌦 at times too. The surf should still be a fair size 👍and as it stands the NORTH WALES SURF C...OMPETITION will still go ahead at Whistling Sands/ Porth Oer on Sunday from 9.30am If you are coming to compete or just cheer the surfers on please keep an eye out for updates as the forcast could change.
Also the Cafe at Whistling Sands is now closed for the rest of the season so please bring your own food and drink, see you there

Saturday: Starting off pretty wet but should start to clear up fairly quickly towards lunch time🌦The brisk Northerly winds will make it feel a bit chilly but will also provide some good clean waves! 🏄‍♂️ The swell could be quite large so please be careful and check the conditions properly before entering the water, Surf will be best in the morning and should moderate in the afternoon . Sunday: A much sunnier start to the day ☀️ with bright sunshine from the word go, lighter... winds and still plenty of clean swell for surf, the bay should be flat enough for a play on the water, but it will still feel a little cold . The week ahead also shaping up to be sunny with light winds and plenty of swell so could be a great half term ahead... .
