Music has always been a major passion of mine and still is.

Thanks to Reclvse for dropping in a copy of the double A side 7"single that was recorded at the studio, bloody great to hear a track recorded in the studio on vinyl. Digital is fine but vinyl really has the edge. The other A side was recorded by an Australian band called Lucifer's Fall.

HAPPY 10 BIRTHDAY TO ABERTAWE ROAD STUDIOS Well what a milestone, my studio has been open 10 years today. Quite an achievement as I took an idea and developed it, found a property, designed and built the studio and here we are 10 years down the line still going. It hasn't always been easy and I am still balancing work the studio and home life. Over the 10 years I have met some brilliant bands and musicians and am pleased to say some of them have been fiercely loyal and booked... the studio continuously over the 10 years for which I am eternally grateful. Recording has also been interesting and sometimes challenging but most importantly great fun. Finally thanks to all the bands past and present as well of the fabulous support from Swansea University Live Music Society and Michael Kennedy of Welsh Connections, your support is really appreciated and now I am looking forward to 2018, let's see what it brings!!!!!! Despite the studio remaining busy, it's been a while since I posted anything on here but today Iron Gosling were in to record their "live EP"
Have to say what a great fun packed day I spent with this brilliant band and they worked hard to achieve the goal of recording the 5 tracks they wanted to.

OK just caught up with some news from the weekend and heard that the following on from the tragic events in Manchester last week that Labour and the Tories are trying to win votes by promising to improve security if they win the general election.
The Tories say they will set up a Commission with statutory powers to advise the Government on defeating extremism.
Labour pledges to recruit an extra 1000 staff to the Security and Intelligence Services.
... Well Tories, pull your bloody finger out, we don't need yet another Commission that will advise the Government, we need positive action now, not 2 or 3 years later (if at all!!) when more extremist action has taken place in our Country (or anywhere) so what a load of bollocks. The Tories should be ashamed of themselves at such a cheap shot at trying to win voters.
At least Labour recognises that we need to bolster front line resources now to help provide our security and combat extremism so I know who will get my vote. OK it won't be an overnight fix but it would be a damn sight quicker than what the Tories propose.
