Out today taking the grant photos of a neighbour’s fencing and could not resist stopping by the lambing shed. Only born a couple of days ago but ready to go out into the fields on a glorious spring day.

Dragons breath 🐉over Pen Y Fan signaled the arrival of the Spring Equinox in the Brecon Beacons.

This will be the 5th year of running the superhero fun day in memory of our nephew Ollie, who died aged 4 of Rhabdomyosarcoma. They raise money for Momentum children’s charity and Ollie's star, CCLG. I have donated a stay at Aberyscir Coach House to the raffle. Should anyone fancy supporting a good cause and maybe winning a free short break you can buy tickets on line, details below.

Happy St David's Day. The weather is being kind and all our daffodils will soon be in full bloom.

Spring has arrived at Aberyscir Coach House. The snowdrops are a white carpet and the miniture irises are blooming in the tubs. Another beautiful sunrise as well.

Slightly distracted by the view this morning. However this will not get the hedge finished🏔

We have been busy this week helping Trefor Prothero lay our top field hedgerow. A fairly daunting job considering what he is working with and that is just the labourers😂. It will be double fenced and replanted where necessary. We are shut down for a few weeks to carry out some maintenance work and reopen on March 1st when the spring flowers will be in full bloom.

Happy Christmas 🎄to all our guests past, present and future. Hard to believe another year has gone by and that this time last year we were digging out the guests. Hope to see some of you again next year. Best wishes from Valerie and Peter.

For those of you who have stayed at Aberyscir Coach House and listerned to the pearly tone of Trevor training his sheep dogs across the valley. As he says this is one of his best dogs so no shouting required! He almost has them dancing. If you too would like to watch this display then I still have availability in November and December, including Christmas. The coach house sleeps 2 and the minimum stay is 3 nights. see the website for full details and availability. www.aberyscircoachhouse.co.uk

🍂October Availability🍂
Due to a cancellation Aberyscir Coach House has availabilty from Saturday 27th October for 4 nights. The Autumn colours should be at their peak and the Brecon Beacons is a great place to see them. The Coach House sleeps 2 and has a cosy log burner to return to in the evenings. see the website for full availability www.aberyscircoachhouse.co.uk

It has been a busy few weeks at Aberyscir Coach House. We have had a bumper potato and apple harvest. The chicken house has had a major upgrade with a new level base. Apparently I might have over engineered it? Finally I completed my Mountain and Moorland Ambassadors course, learning about upland farming in the Brecon Beacons. We have availability from 27 October for 4 nights and other dates in November and December, including Christmas if you fancy a winter break before we close down for our annual maintenance. See the website for dates.

We had an amazing stay at Aberscir Coach House over Easter. The cottage is perfectly located to take walks from the place or drive anywhere in Brecon Beacons. The hosts recommended lovely places for dinner, and places to visit around the park. Thank you so much!

Me and my partner spent the first week of our 10 day visit to Wales. The cottage is situated up a driveway in a quiet quiet area in the countryside (important to have a car). It is just next to the house of Valerie, the owner. Also, there are lots of sheep close by who will pose for a photo with you :) The view around is incredible! The cottage is very cute and cosy. It has a well equipped kitchen, living room with a flat screen tv, bathroom with shower and a bedroom. Also, we were left with complimentary eggs, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, a bottle of wine (could choose between red or white) to name a few. Though the fridge was not big enough to keep all the stuff we brought from the supermarket, there is another fridge in the barn that Valerie allowed us to keep the stuff that did not fit in the other fridge. The owner has two Labradors that are so cute, cuddly and friendly. After a day out exploring, it was fun to come back to the area and say hello to them.

Last but not least, Valerie is so friendly and was so nice to us. I enjoyed chatting with her. If there was anything we needed, she always helped out. She even printed the boarding pass for our return flight.

Trying to sum up what the cottage is; friendly and helpful owner, beautiful cottage with a well equipped kitchen, lovely quiet area away from the town.

If we ever stay in the area again, this will definitely be first preference!!

Just returned from a wonderful 4 days in Brecon staying at the Coach House ~ perfect accommodation ideally located and everything possible provided thanks to Valerie, Peter and 'the girls'! Good weather made walking very enjoyable on Pen Y Fan and even revealed the stars! Thanks both x
