Afan Boat Club . Probably one of the best slipways in south wales going into the river Afan. Access about 3 hours either side of high water but the big advantage is that if the conditions get difficult you can always shelter in the river until the slip is accessible and fish the short arm while waiting. It is on ABP land and you need a key to get to the slipway so everything is quite safe. Membership for slip users only is not too much, parking is free and there is plenty of it. No holidaymakers to get in the way. It can sometimes get a bit on the rough side because it is open to the SW winds but with the water being deep in the river there should not be a problem with waves breaking
