You really have to knock my socks off to-get a review from myself and you certainly did that, the food you served was outstanding, we had three courses and I could not fault any of it, it was cooked to perfection and there isn’t many places that can do that. Highly recommend. Never stayed but visited and to go with amazing food are amazing views �

We started to visit the Afan Lodge a year ago. We where trying to find a new home, so used Afan Lodge as a base to work from. Great coffee, cake, food and friendly staff.



We have now moved to the Afan Forest and continue to visit Afan Lodge. Thank you for the fantastic service, we would feel comfortable to recommend you to any of our friends.

The service was great, the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming and the setting was beautiful. We all

Loved the roast dinner however the beef was so tough we couldn’t cut it! Big shame as rest of the food was really nice! Would come back again with hope that the meat has improved. :)

Quaint little lodge, situated at the bottom of Afan Forest. Beautiful scenery and welcoming staff! Comfy beds, basic clean bathroom. Great for those who are into cycling, trail running and sports. Fantastic few days here in South Wales, will def be coming again!

Lovely place food yummy always eat here if we've been to Port Talbot coming back to Rhondda I would recommend it great breakfasts too

Just back from a three night stay at Afan Lodge, during my MTB level 2 leadership course.

Great place to base the course and a great place to stay!

Rooms were well equipped, very clean and comfortable!

Great touch of two plastic bins to dump dirty MTB clothes in �

Staff were great and couldn't do enough for you!

My first visit, but very much looking forward to many more...

I have been here many times since it opened,as a non cyclist.

It's a great place to relax and enjoy the views,walks etc.

The staff are always very welcoming,the food continues to be very good.

Rooms always clean and comfortable.

I booked a table for my parents wedding anniversary, we live local yet we still haven’t managed to call in. Customer service was perfect from arrival, food was absolutely amazing!! And prices very reasonable! We will definitely be back soon, can’t wait till winter and the log fire is on. Fabulous surroundings and inside was spotlessly clean!

Lock up for bikes, perfect location, in the thick of the trails, great fun skills area while you wait for your mates to be ready!!!

Delicious food & excellent service

Been to the lodge may times before but me and my partner went again last night for the Valentine's menu and we weren't disappointed!! The service was brilliant; we were seated straight away and received complementary drinks which was a lovely touch. The tables were laid out Lovely, and the petals on the floor added a special touch.

The food was AMAZING! We ordered and within 10 minutes our starters were being served. I highly recommend the bruschetta. The main meals were delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. You can't leave the Afan Lodge without trying the Oreo cheesecake it is to die for!!

At the end of the evening we moved to the bar where we sat by the log fire.

Thank you to all the staff at the lodge, we will be back soon!!

As a vegetarian it is often difficult to find a menu with choice but the lodge did not disappoint. A clean welcoming place. We were served by Beth, service was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble.

4 course Christmas dinner. What a way to start the festive season. Got to hand it to this place good chef. Good friendly waitress service. Hospitality next to none. A real friendly place to go brilliant.

Been there on 3 occasions and always a lovely welcome! Food is good and not overpriced. Beautiful views, which rarely disappoint. ....But I might be a bit biased as it's the valley of my birth and I love it! Booked a room for a special occasion next month
