About Age Connects North East Wales
Age Connects North East Wales (ACNEW) is an independent local charity that specialises in support for people over the age of 50 across Flintshire and Wrexham.
Age Connects North East Wales Description
ACNEW was established in 2001. Since then, many people have found new meaning in life through getting involved with us and getting back in touch with their community, making new friends and often rediscovering old ones.
We promote wellbeing by treating people as individuals, working with them to resolve any issues and thus helping them to continue to enjoy life and remain feeling a valued part of their community.
Our services include
- General household cleaning
- Laundry and ironing
- Prescription collection
- Shopping support
- Internet food shopping
- Accompanied visits (doctors, hospitals, etc. )
- Companionship
- Toenail cutting

Following the break in at our offices yesterday and unfortunately having to cancel our coffee afternoon and only limited phone cover, all of our services are back to normal today.
