Aled Hughes Music

Singer songwriter. One man, one voice, one guitar with a mix of original and covers of Pop /Folk /Soft Rock and Alt Country songs in English and Welsh.

Originally from North Wales, singer /songwriter Aled Hughes is now located in the idyllic southern coastal town of Llantwit Major. Probably best categorised as being in the pop-folk genre, he writes songs in both English and Welsh. Some take quite a light hearted perspective, while others deal with heavier themes. As well as composing his own material, he does renditions of Welsh standards and covers from the 50's onwards. He has been featured on BBC Radio Cymru, Radio Celtica, Newport City Radio, Radio Tircoed and Don Campau's show on KKUP radio in California as well as appearing on Welsh language TV channel S4C and Bay TV Swansea.

Yn wreiddiol o Ogledd Cymru, mae'r canwr /cyfansoddwr Aled Hughes nawr yn byw yn Llanilltud Fawr. Efallai pop-gwerin yw'r ffordd orau i gategoreiddio ei ganeuon, mae e'n ysgrifennu caneuon yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg. Mae rhai o'r caneuon yn cymryd persbectif hwylus ac eraill yn trafod themau dwys. Yn ogystal a chyfansoddi caneuon ei hun mae'n canu caneuon traddodiadol Cymraeg a caneuon o'r 50au ac ymlaen hefyd. Mae e wedi bod ar Radio Cymru, Radio Celtica, Radio Dinas Casnewydd, Radio Tircoed a KKUP yn California, S4C a Bay TV Abertawe.
