No need for any introductions, as regulars to alfreds they always raise the roof, guaranteed to get you in the party spirit and dancing all night. Went with the family for a birthday lunch. everyone enjoyed their meals, the 2 course and drink for £10.95 was well worth the money, starters were very tasty from the mushrooms to the pate, main delicious � from steak, bbq chicken to lasagne and pie, will definitely be back for more, desserts where very large but very scummy

Went there for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed, the roast beef and pork were delicious as were the vegetables,and lots of them.

The service was prompt and everyone was polite. All in all an excellent experience will definitely be going again

Went for Sunday lunch today and must say in all honesty the food and service was first class, hot hot hot even plates , the four off us have no complaints..with the quality and variety of choice .Well done all ...and even ladies room very impressed.....

We had a lovely roast dinner again at Alfred’s I had pork it was beautifully cooked with all the trimmings , for desert I always have the pavlova it’s the best thanks again Alfred’s always worth the drive from Swansea ❤️

Visited here for my Belated 40th Birthday meal 25th Nov (due to my father-in-law passing away in June) We had no problem cancelling the evening in June and changing the date to this evening. Excellent food all the girls were very impressed with they’re meals, excellent service, Thank You for a great evening, as we danced the night away downstairs in the bar. Big Thank You to Christine for being patient with dates being changed and adding and cancelling orders � we’ll all be returning soon xxx

I have been on many occasions and never been disappointed. I booked a table yesterday for a mothers day lunch and was not disappointed with bucks fizz on arrival and a delicious 3 course menu to chose from. My mum and I were made to feel very special and nothing was too much trouble at all. The service and food was outstanding and our waiter Mark was superb... also having some fun with my young daughter.. all I can say is a huge thank you for making our day very special and I look forward to returning again soon.

Had a very enjoyable lunch here yesterday with friends, we were a large party but the service was excellent, a very affordable lunch time menu available with plenty of choices on it I had the traditional fish and chips and it was excellent; hot and beautiful fish not frozen a choice of 3 desserts or you can ha've a starter instead of a sweet, I had the cheesecake and it was lovely and the starters were really generous sizes too, and you get a drink too for 11.95! Cant go wrong! Staff were helpful and friendly and lovely restaurant too. Will definitely go.back happy to recommend it.

Had Sunday lunch here on 10/6/18 with my family and a colleague from Hong Kong, he was overwhelmed with the welcome that he received from Christine, Karen and staff, food was amazing Billy Ho wanted to thank everyone for their hospitality xxxx

Came here on 3 occasions! Twice for Sunday lunch with the £10:95 2 course meal, absolutely brilliant food, brought more veg out, crackling on pork was amazing! And then I came here last night with my girlfriend, I had the fillet steak with blue cheese and bacon and I can honestly say it was one of the best steaks I have ever had! My girl had the lamb and thoroughly enjoyed that but kept asking for my steak! Will 100% be returning, don’t let the negative comments put you off it’s amazing food, staff are friendly and attentive,

Lovely atmosphere however there was very little I could eat. I'm vegetarian and can't eat dairy so was a bit stuck! Still enjoyed a nice work night out though

Love Alfreds only one criticism is that smokers are allowed to smoke just outside the door in the conservatory , its not ideal and the smell of smoke come right back in with them .

Gorgeous food. Didn't like ordering at the counter mind, I expected the waiter to take our orders. Yet we ordered dessert at the table, what a strange set up. The head waitress from 'John and Maria's' is absolutely lovely and helpful as always.

Started off ok good starter Childs meal ok waiting staff seemed unable to smile or have good customer skills. Mains came fish order came in wrong sauce steak ordered medium came well done disappointed overall will not return

Its been a long time since I've ventured into Alfred's, now I remember why. Food was average for the price, but dessert was lovely, service wasn't the best at all. Took our dessert orders, 10 mins later another waiter came to take the same orders?... I also find it bizarre that you can't just pay when you order as you have to go to the counter to order your food anyway, but yet they took dessert orders at the table? ... Handed the bill at the table, no one asked if we'd need a card machine or that we'd need to go somewhere else to pay (standard places take the cash/card not long after the bill is handed) ... We went to the exit to pay instead, stood around like lemons for a good 5 mins whilst staff walked past clearing glasses etc ignoring us. Two staff members turned up at the till, obviously at the end of their shift, took one look at us and said 'we can't help you, we've been sacked' and proceeded to wander off down the stairs laughing. Lovely. Common courtesy would be maybe flag a colleague who was willing to help if your not bothered!?

Food was ok, expensive for what it is. I dont think i would eat at the restaurant again. Great place to chill and have drinks though
