Just on the Jeremy Vine BBC Radio 2 with the Dr Micheal Mosley. He was discussing how allergies and food intolerances are increasing. After showing many of you on our Allergy Open Day a few weeks ago how we test. To date, we have treated many clients successfully for hay fever and no symptoms of running nose, itchy eyes or sneezing in the the past few weeks. A lady who owns 5 horses to her horse hair allergy and no symptoms since treatment. If there are products that you think you may react too and we have not got them, then please on a food or non-food sample and we can test you for that as well.

If you are coming to our Open Day on Saturday 5th May @ Rhyl Town Hall, don’t forget to bring your own food or non-foods items you would like to be tested for. They need to fit into a test tube. We do have about 30 samples of our own. If you are not sure what to bring, please ask and we may have a sample already.

Have you ever thought that the possibility of having a food allergy could be an increase in weight gain. Many of us eat healthy, exercise on a regular basis but certain foods un-be know to us can cause weight gain. When we eat 'feel good' or 'comfort foods', a natural chemical called Serotonin is released. This can cause an inflammatory effect caused by the food allergy and then another natural chemical called Cortisol is released to counter act the inflammatory effect. Unfor...tunately, too much Cortisol in our bodies can cause high blood sugar and insulin production. When this is then released and on an on going permanent basis , Cortisol increases fat production around our mid-section causing an apple shape look. When many of us think of an allergy, we think of an instant reaction. However, with having an allergy and gaining weight, this reaction can take up to 72 hours.
