I had a spare 30 mins today between meetings and decided to pop into the Cardiff store to see what dresses they had (I had previously been to the Bristol store). As soon as I entered I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful Hannah. She was very knowledgeable and listened to everything I had to say. I wasn't expecting her to let me try on dresses then and there, I was expecting the usual "you need to make an appointment", but she did just that! She picked out two which looked great and I was so happy!

Overall a great experience and I was so pleased to find a smaller sample size of dress rather than the usual huge sizes which just swap me!

It's fair to say that I wasn't in the best frame of mind when I went to Allison Jayne in Cardiff. I wasn't feeling well and had vowed that £500 was my budget! My friend dragged me in...think she was worried that I'd end up wearing something I wasn't totally happy with just to save money. I'm also 50 next year and although delighted about getting married, was in denial as a bride! I tried on several gowns which were all lovely, then suddenly a Justin Alexander one was suggested. It was the one although it meant phoning my mum to say you know I said I didn't want to spend a lot, well I've fallen in love with this dress and nothing will come close! Thank you Karen and the other lady for being so good with me. I would totally recommend this shop and the service they give. Can't wait for my first fitting!

I came in with my Mum today looking for a wedding dress.. I explained to Karen what I was looking for and immediately felt at ease.. Karen brought me exactly what I asked for.. Both Karen and her colleague Tara were friendly, helpful and honest. and at no time did I feel pressured.. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. We left feeling like we had made new friends! Thank you girls xx

I made an appointment for my daughter, yesterday in my he Cardiff shop, it was one of the shops my daughter always wanted to visit. When we arrived the staff was not that helpful, it was like she had to make an effort. My daughter walked around the few dress rails and selected the dresses she liked.
The first dress the lady took in to the dressing room, I heard her say it’s not going to fit, just put your arms through, she opened the curtains and my daughter stood there with the dress in front of her, which I thought was degrading to my daughter. Then the lady got the next dress, she said that doesn’t fit, my poor daughter. I stood up called to my daughter who was crying and very upset, I decided to tell the woman that the appointment was over and we was going, the women said that all they dresses where sizes 10-12 and if my daughter wanted to come back then she could take her out the back and look at the bigger sizes, which looked to old for my daughter.
We have been to a few other bridal shops and my daughter was given a fabulous experience and came out of these shops glowing and the staff made her fell happy with her shape. My daughter has a amazing shape and is only a size 12 in clothes. I would not recommend this shop to an brides over size 12 as there are no dresses to fit you.

I did make an appointment in the Cardiff store and was told by your member of staff that there was only 10-12 dresses.
Still I would not recommend your store to anyone

What a fantastic time I had at Allison Jayne. I was served by Karen who made the whole experience a really positive one. She pulled out as many dresses as I wanted and gave me as much time as I needed to decide. Karen was clearly very good at her job particlarly knowing the stock within the shop and helping me into the dresses as well as pinning in appropriate places so I could see the perfect fit. I liked the fact that they had trial shoes to wear in the shop to be able to see how the dresses looked with a few extra inches. I went back a week later to order my dream dress and received the same brilliant care and attention that I had on the first visit. Thank you Karen at Allison Jayne, what a fab experience and service you gave.

I absolutely loved buying me dress at Allison Jayne today! The staff was so wonderful and the atmosphere was lovely! I would 100% recommend this shop to anyone of my friends getting married.

I just wanted to say a quick 'Thank You' email following my visit to the Cardiff store on 29th July 2017.

As a newly engaged 27 year old, having my first dress viewing/fitting experience was daunting and overwhelming. I was nervous and worried that those beautiful dresses wouldn't fit and that I would leave the store disheartened, with lost hope of finding THE dress.

I can't thank Karen and the other members of staff at the store yesterday. The personalisition and honesty from your ladies made the experience so relaxed and easy.

It wasn't long until I found MY dress, and left the store pleased, emotional and just over the moon, knowing that thanks to the emotional support provided by Karen, I had left the store, having purchased the dress of my dreams, along with all the accessories.

I can't wait to come back in on Saturday with my mum and sister to show them MY dress (sister hasn't seen it yet!)

I look forward to sharing the next 12 months with Karen and the other ladies at Allison Jayne in Cardiff.

I wanted to post the experience that my daughter and I have had at Allison Jayne bridal shop in Cardiff. Of all the many bridal shops that we visited in Cardiff, the customer service that we received at Allison Jayne was by far the best: staff were very helpful, especially Hannah, who went out of her way to accommodate us. As the bridesmaids live in different locations, it was difficult to organise a trial other than on a Saturday and although normally a Saturday is reserved for brides only, they made an exception in our case. Their dresses are beautiful and nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend the shop based on our experience. Thank you.

After going to numerous bridal shops accross the UK, my experience in Alison Jayne was a different level of excellent ! Their staff were so friendly and treat you like a VIP from the moment you arrive! Thank you so much- I'm so glad I found 'the dress' in such a fabulous shop!

As a first time bride, I was apprehensive about the wedding dress shopping experience. I visited the Cardiff store and was greeted with such a warm welcome and was put at ease straight away. I found my dream dress and the whole process and service start to finish was amazing. Thank you Jessica for making my dreams come true! I can't recommend this store enough.

Not the experience I was hoping for; delay on my dress arriving in store, no face to face appointment with the seamstress (very amateur). I had to go elsewhere for another seamstress to correct some of the alterations that were made .Found overall service rather chaotic. A shop that was once probably known as the best in Cardiff…not any more! Best avoid.

Bad customer service, staff couldn't be bothered. No clips to clip you in to the dresses, no effort to make this easier, I was literally trying to hold in bits of the dress myself which meant I couldn't stand properly and look in the mirror. My god mother pulled out the trains whilst I stood on the pedestal as they couldn't even be bothered to do this! Considering this is one of the pricier bridal shops in Cardiff I was not impressed one bit!

All the staff at Allison Jayne were incredibly friendly and supportive when it came to choosing my wedding dress. Jazz was especially helpful, and made all my fittings really special. She also helped me pick the perfect bridesmaid dresses! The shop had a great selection of wedding dresses, although not the entire lines of the designers they stocked.

My only criticism would be that they stocked only sizes 12 and 14 (a normal practice in the industry as far as I can tell, so not specific to Allison Jayne). Although it was certainly possible to be pinned in to these and get a good idea of a gown in your size, I am not sure this is the ideal way of choosing a dress. For me, it meant that certain styles (especially ones with lace sleeves, which I loved) looked baggy and ill-fitting, and would therefore have been a great risk to purchase. Also, it is good to keep in mind that all alterations to dresses, when they arrive in your standard size, will cost more than the price you are quoted at the start. We paid around £400-£500 extra in alterations (combined figure for both my bridal dress and three bridesmaids dresses), so do bear that in mind when buying a wedding dress!

Having said this (in the hope of helping future brides), I believe that all of the above is pretty standard in the industry, and an inevitable part of choosing a dress with a bridal shop. It is for this reason that Allison Jayne gets five stars from me, for their amazing service, kindness and support. They clearly cared about my day and my dress, and even sent a lovely card to congratulate me on my wedding. All in all, I would not have gone anywhere else, and can thoroughly recommend!
