Please can children come to playgroup dressed in Welsh themed clothing, we will be performing in Undy Schools Eisteddfod in the morning, which we are very excited about. 😍 Our whole day will be full of wonderful Welsh fun!

Children are welcome to come along to playgroup dressed as their favourite story character and bring along their favourite book 📖.

A little peak into how the children lead their own learning, from washing down the easel and tuff tray, to splashing around in "coconut water" and "hot chocolate with marshmallows" to exploring colours by using our hands and feet.

Friday morning we visited Undy Primary School hall for a learn, play and grow session with Eleri. For some of our children it was there very first time in "big school" they all did a really super job of listening to Eleri and joining in with all of the activities. 😍

Disco Fever 🤩
This week we have been raising awareness and money for the charity Sign Heath. This charity works to improve the health and well being of people who have a hearing impairment.
Being able to communicate effectively is so important, and by using signs and speech it breaks down the barriers that some children/adults face through hearing impairment/ communication difficulties. Our children are incredibly inclusive and we want to support and encourage this as they d...evelop.
For the last few weeks we have all been learning the BSL signs for some of our favourite nursery rhymes, and this week we all took to the dance floor/stage to take part in a danceathon to raise money for Sign Health. 💃🕺
A huge well done to all of the children, we are so proud of you for really trying your best to learn and use signs.You are all super stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disco fever hit Alphabet today! 💃🕺
The children took part in lots of different dance games and created a yummy disco biscuit. We also spent some time practising our signing and singing. The children were all fantastic and worked really hard to use the signs in the songs. We hope they all enjoyed their day. We really are so proud of them.

The children will have the opportunity to enjoy some themed crafts, dragon dancing and tasting some yummy Chinese food.

Last week in Alphabet we enjoyed learning about birds. We spent time helping our feathered friends by making lots of different bird feeders, we also enjoyed a hunting and matching activity in Forest School.🐦
We are so lucky to be situated next to a wooded area and get to enjoy the birds coming into our outdoor area when we are playing 🐦😍
The children have been learning that the birds need our help at this time of year, so help is what we have given them. The bird feeders are ...full to the brim.🐦

My little boy absolutely loves Alphabet! I am so impressed how he has learnt the good morning song in welsh and love the stories of what he's been doing and who his friends are! The communication between Aunties and parents is amazing, I love receiving the weekly newsletter about what he's been doing and what they have planned! All the Aunties are so caring and I can't thank you enough for the amazing care and experiences you have given my son! I would recommend this Playgroup to everyone!

I've had 2 of my 3 children in the playgroup, and both if them have flourished in there. Everyone is so wonderfully friendly, and so good with children. My youngest needed a bit of extra support, which was always OK and he has done so well. Thankyou to all the aunties, you'll all be missed by us!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the aunties for Robin's first term at Alphabet! He loves coming to you and particularly enjoys forest school and lunch club. I'm so impressed with how his numbers and letters are coming on, and he's shown a new interest in singing since he's been coming to Alphabet Thank you so much, you are a really special group of people who make such an impact on our little people. We look forward to wraparound next year!! Axx

The aunties take so much trouble with the kids and bend over backwards to support and encourage them. They also seem to enjoy the sessions as much as the kids do! They provide a huge variety of different experiences and make so much effort to involve the kids with the school's activities and with the community. My kids absolutely loved every minute of their time at Alphabet. Cannot recommend it highly enough. �

Charlie absolutely loves coming to Alphabet! He talks about it non-stop! We love hearing about the games he plays and the friends he's made. The place is really inviting with all the different play areas. Charlie can't wait to start playing as soon as he walks in!
