Our colleague Mal Sanchez-Jones (Manager) is undertaking a mammoth endurance task, where he will travel the entire Welsh Coastline in an attempt to raise awareness of all the difficulties these young people have and the crucial work we do at Amelia Trust Farm and in turn raise the funds we need to replace Animal Housing for our anim...al therapy. Amelia Trust Farm has a new GROW provision which will help its service users (EBD, ALN and MH) through its Therapy, Education and Work programmes. He will cycle the North coast whilst discussing the need to 'Break the Cycle' of emotional, social and behavioural difficulties (EBD). He will then walk the South coastline whilst discussing what it is like for so many with additional learning needs and mental health issues (ALN, MH). рЯМњGREEN FINGERS AT THE FARM!рЯМњ The guys from Field days Organic Horticulture Project based at the Farm have been producing some yummy organic veg from the gardens and some very pretty plants. When you visit come and have a look at the produce, varies everyday and all to purchase with cash in their donation boxes. All profits go to Innovate Trust.

Here on the Farm we have set all our young explorers the challenge of completing 24 activities, it's a big list but you can do it in your own time and start in any area you wish! Ready to go?
There are are four areas to explore:
*Animal Trail... *Animal Centre *Woodland Trail *The Field Days Organic Garden
The Trail is £2.50 per participant with a new pencil to keep and a prize to collect at the end ( please purchase in the cafe with cash).

Every child taking part will get an opportunity to get creative with our magical farm theme art session as well as half a days use of bouncy castles and ball pits, get their face painted and have a go at the young explorers trail!
The cost of a ticket is £10 per child to include all activities and the...ir entrance charge.

Enjoy a VIP Tour of our Donkey Sanctuary and meet Arthur, Merlin, Coco and the littlest of the four Madoc! Learn all about our donkeys, their personalities and how they help our young people with animal assisted therapy. Have a go at grooming them and taking them for a short walk. Donkeys love carrots too, so if you wish you can also bring one along to feed them.

With a history of dog walkers visiting the Farm we thought we would dedicate a day to them and their four legged friends.
Celebrating your four-legged friends can be as easy as giving them a big hug and kiss (if they like that sort of affection)! But for those who want to take their love and appreciation to another level, bring your doggies to the Farm for a great day out.

Went to the Spring fair yesterday , so much to do and the staff and volunteers w3nt out of their way to ensure everyone. Of all age groups had a great time .

Would recommend for a Day out .

We visited for the lamb feeding yesterday which was a lovely event, itвАЩs always a fun place to come with children.

We visited for the lamb feeding session today and the children absolutely loved it. ItвАЩs a fabulous working farm and has lovely grounds to explore.

We often visit with our children, they love it, thereвАЩs always lots to do and the cafe is great пњљ

We came for the Easter Hunt & my 2 Year old enjoyed it especially the Muddy Puddles like Peppa Pig & the Pigs themselves

Visited today and had a great few hours on the gnome trail and nature walk and playing in the updated play area.

Visited the farm today with my 2 daughters to go to one of the lamb feeding sessions. The girls had a wonderful time, the session leader was informative and had a very pleasant manner. We then explored the rest of the farm and had a great time! Would certainly recommend and will be visiting again soon .

One of my most favourite places ever. They do such good work for the community and make a huge difference to the lives of young people. Staff are driven nd passionate about the work they do

Nice place for children who can enjoy farm life and run free in the parks, lots to see and do, well worth a visit

I went here for the first time to meet Santa with my 2 Kids, they loved it best place we have been so far, kids write a letter had a present a book with 2 bookworm kids they love it and have made me read them everyday since, also had a letter back off Santa delivered to my house for the kids of Santa truly amazing, can't wait to go back in the warmer weather for family days out

Have had a lovely afternoon here today. Loved seeing the animals and doing the gnome and fairy trail and then the nature trail bit muddy but was fun. Done the Easter egg hunt to which was great thank you

Had a lovely afternoon out with my 10 and 14 year old. Even the dog had a fun time walking the different trails пњљ

Great place for a family day out lots for the little ones to do lots of trails down the woods go see some farm animals have a bite of food in the cafe and then wind down while the little ones play in the park and don't forget a little donation in one one of the boxes definitely be going down again 5пњљ

First time I ever went to the farm and it was fantastic the children loved it. And the staff were brilliant wen my friend lost her bank card. Wud definitely recommend x

We held a 5th birthday party here which included meeting the pony/unicorns пњљ

The staff were all so helpful & friendly and the venue was perfect for a party with plenty of space for the kids to play and run around.

We hired the sports hall which allowed us to have a Disney bouncy castle and a Disney princess and face painter.

The kitchen space for partyвАЩs was so well equipped it took a lot of stress away пњљ

We will be back and highly recommend to anyone thinking of Visiting or looking for a venue to hold a party .

Went straight back in used the changed i had just been given and the same boy who served me said he couldnt except my pound coins as they were the old ones . They were the ones he gave me a few minutes before and cant remember serving me , bit of a coincidence пњљ

The farm is always so busy and friendly great for the kids. ..they seem to offer lots of events through the year it's an ideal place of visit for a day out with the local town of barry nearby the farm offers a cafe with experienced and lovely friendly staff ...keep up the great work ..
