About Amman Valley Railway

The Amman Valley Railway is committed to introducing a heritage & sustainable tram network to the Swansea Bay City Region and beyond.

Amman Valley Railway Description

Our aim is to introduce Swansea 9 Lines - a sustainable, ultralight eco-tram system which will eventually spread from Swansea and The Mumbles to Burry Port, Llanelli, The Gower, the Amman, Swansea and Neath Valleys, Cardiff Airport and Brecon.

And we have the support of the people: We've asked nearly 5, 000 residents in and around the Swansea Bay City Region if they would like to see trams back in Swansea - and 97% said YES!

And we have letters of support from a growing number of County Councils, most councillors, AMs and MPs across all parties.
Once under way, the benefits of this project will be enormous, creating employment, increasing tourism and vastly improving transport in South Wales.
We've done the ground work, and now we need your help to make this dream come true. . .

We need more volunteers at all levels, from support in our shops and experienced artisans to personnel recruitment and manufacturing managers.
And we need funds.
We need your support to raise funds and we need your contributions to get the S9L project off the ground.

Message us at this page to find out more about how you could help, we hope to hear from you soon, thank you.
