At the Art Deco Emporium we are passionate about the 1930's and all that "glam"

The business was formed early 2010 as a small concern filling a need for restored period fittings, specifically in the domestic electrical market. Since then we have grown into global suppliers servicing the needs of home owners, the arts, museums and heritage sites.

Having a background in electrical installations, electronics and special military plastics, the business founder, Ken Shier, was ideally placed to fulfil his passion in the Art Deco period and put time served skills to good use.
To date the Art Deco Emporium is the only professional domestic Bakelite restoration experts in the UK. Specialising in light switches, fittings, telephones and other domestic home items.

Where a product was requested, it was sourced or manufactured and added to our ever growing range. A good example is our reproduction of early Bakelite ceiling roses accompanied by the British made range of cloth covered twisted braided flex, quality lamp holders and our newly added selection of reproduction Edison filament bulbs.
