Great place for bike hire, the food is also quite good and you can buy traditional welsh products
This is a fantastic and quaint cafe selling speciality teas, a wide range of homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches, paninis and ice-creams, with a gift shop. Be warned they don't offer fresh milk for tea! Just those nasty little UHT cartons.
We also took advantage of the bike hire (adult bikes only) as it is the best way to see the lake. £10 for your first hour is expensive, Santander cycles is £2 for your first hour, but it was much less hassle than taking bikes to Wales.
A major downside of this place is that they lock the customer toilets and keep a key on the till, which after queuing behind someone else for twenty minutes, turned out to be lost! This place was miles away from a public toilet. We were forced to drive back to our hotel to use the toilet.
Toasted baguette and a cuppa, just the ticket after a woodland walk.
If fresh milk rather than uht in little plastic tubs were offered to accompany tea then I would rate this establishment higher. As it is, the incongruity of home made produce and industrial mass catering rather jars.

Very welcoming and staff are very pleasant bacon sandwiches lovely:)
This should just be a cafe, the cake looked nice andthats it. The bike hire is a lark. We went for an afternoon ride and they close at 2:00 !! Drove all the way to lake Vyrnwy and they turned us down. Ended up going on a canoe, which was very nice.
Notba bad place to stop off. Food was ok. The staff were friendly and the service was quick but it was quiet when we were there.
Shop just had a lot of over priced mass produced torist tat. Given the name of the place i expected some more local craft and art.
