Arty By Accident

Arty by Accident brings you all things Powertex and mixed media! I am a Level 1 and 2 qualified Powertex tutor which I combine with all sorts of weird and wonderful products to create unique and accessible pieces of art.

Arty by Accident is a story in itself. Myself and my friends had been trying to think of a suitable name for weeks and originally it was to be Arty by Design. Then it dawned on me, I'm not arty by design, I became arty by accident! Until 2009 I had never done anything arty or considered myself to be remotely crafty or creative. A car accident changed all that and I began to make jewellery as a way to relax. Over several years, I've taught myself bead weaving, polymer clay modelling, needle felting, sewing, patchwork and quilting and then I discovered Powertex and I've been addicted ever since! Hopefully this page will reflect my love of this product and bring you some interesting and eclectic, not to mention unique gifts as well as inspire you to give it a go yourself!
