We had our first Asador 44 Wine Club last night as part of our Re-think Rioja Festival Rioja Wine UK . Despite the England match, we had a great turn out and lots of fun and rioja of course was had by all! We will be running more wine clubs throughout the year in Asador. on an off chance I thought I would try Asador44, I turned up off the street hungry at 4pm, I would advise to book a table as it does get very busy. The service and the food is excellent. I recommend the grass-fed Welsh black beef with broth and tender stem broccoli with courgette. Left with a smile on my face and a belly full!

The location, opposite the stadium entrance, is excellent. The decor of the restaurant along with the glazed wall to the kitchen is contemporary and bang on trend. The atmosphere, as experienced yesterday, was terrific. The service and staff were all attentive and completely added to the whole experience.

The food, as the main reason for going to any restaurant, was exceptional.

The steak was done to perfection along with tasty side dishes and the best sauce for steak I've ever tasted ( Rioja and marrowbone ).

We finished with an amazing desert of chocolate hazelnut and cherry sorbet.... truly wonderful. The wine , a reasonably priced Chardonnay, complemented the meal perfectly.

The only downside, possibly, was the price of the ham starter ( £16 for a plate of around 12 small slices )

Although stunning in taste and temperature.

I guess you do get what you pay for in some establishments, and Asador 44 is definitely one of those.

Will definitely revisit, and will highly recommend to anyone.

Incredible! Amazing wine and cheese offering, service exceptional- all staff were amazing. The goats curd croquettes are the most delicious thing in the world, and would definitely recommend pairing dessert with a Port/dessert wine. Will 100% be back, I wish we had this quality and value for money in London!

Fantastic ambience in the heart of Cardiff. The food is sensational and staff are very helpful and friendly.Highly recommend the octopus to start, the lamb for two for the main with mushrooms cooked in a garlic type sauce and Asador fries!! ��

Came here with my husband on a a very rare child feee date night and felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. This restaurant has a lovely feel to it as soon as you walk in with the great interior design. The service was fantastic from start to finish and the food was just out of this world. We had a great night and already can't wait to come back. I have already recommended this place to all my family and friends.

After a love affair with Bar 44 which in Cardiff is unusual for firstly not being a chain and secondly having fab food a regularly changing menu and interesting and professional staff! The appearance of Asador 44 as its sister venue was one of those I wanted to love it but worried I might be disappointed moments! Fear not. This place is a knock out, lovely decor a dedicated cheese fridge and the food is outstanding! This is a London standard restaurant. Jay Rayner should visit it soon as his comment if you want a good meal in Cardiff get a train to Bristol was true but no longer. The leg of lamb not a cut I’d generally choose was melt in the mouth delicious , sea bass oh you beautiful fish which made me want to eat it all over again. The sides a spicy cauliflower and crispy cabbage were a joy. Plus the staff are charming, patient and knowledgeable! My only negative comment would be increase the size of font on the menu as with the mood light it was hard to read!

Absolutely amazing. Staff were so pleasant with great recommendations. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Food was to die for. The belly pork with pig head was stunning with some lovely touches. The steak was possibly the best I've ever eaten. So tender and an amazing char. Cheese board was phenomenal. All in all there was nothing I could fault. Well done Asador, we will be back soon

I have been meaning for a while to write and say huge thank you...i had wanted to. Try this place for ages....... .I had surprise meal here..little did I know my bf was going to propose,. He'd handed the ring to the staff whom well looked after it, and admired back stage! We ordered food, and i wasn't hugely loving my main meal, a very required taste... how ever the staff were highly attentive and happy to exchange, we had the beef and pork belly and it was fabulous.

Next was desert, which by then I was stuffed but was encouraged to order...little didn't I know the ring was coming with it so order the chocolate dish... and glasses of fizz came too....of course I said yes! �
