Ashgrove Surgery

A very good Doctors surgery. All staff are very nice. You can always get an appointment when you really need one. If non urgent appointment is needed there is a 2 week wait, which is reasonable. Not sure why all the negative reviews. I've never had a problem and have been with them nearly 2 years.

Go to place for students. Really busy but some fine doctors. When I had some issues with anxiety they sent me straight to the counsellor rather than putting me on meds.

Injured my back, severe pain, was told that I would have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. I asked if I could have painkillers for it as I did before and was told I needed a telephone call with doctor. Would have to wait a week just for a phone call!. My problem usually only lasts for a week each time so this is useless to me. So I have to goto work in severe pain all week with just paracetomol and ibuprofen, what a joke. I will be changing surgeries ASAP.

I don't make a habit of writing reviews but I completely agree with most of these. I only joined this practice because I moved. I have nothing positive to say about it, it's just awful! I was there for about a month and I didn't hang around. Dreadful place!

Excellent surgery you have to wait sometime but that is because they are looking after you. I would not be here today if it was not for them looking after me and getting me back fit and well.

Very very poor service. Had appointment with different mental heatlh service attended surgery at ashgrove pontypridd on 23/05/2017 to be told my appointment was on 31/05/2017. When my appointment was the 24th may 2017. Bloody disgrace of a gp service and total waste of nhs fund

You can never get an appointment, not by phone , not by their automated telephone service nor the internet booking. Nothing works. Widely known by the surrounding pharmacies as terrible with prescriptions now ready or missing items. I hate this surgery!

Go some where else, you can never book an appointment if you are lucky to get one you can end up waiting for an hour or more to be seen after your booked time.

Disorganised administration, prescriptions never ready even though requested in advance. Constant changing of prescriptions between reviews .... DISAPPOINTING!
