Hi everyone, it's been a while since we posted anything here but so far nothing has changed.......until now. This is a special offer so we must share. We are currently offering 20% off all takeaway meals. Not sure how long Mr Miah will keep this going but enjoy it while it lasts.
Thanks for sticking with us.

Just to inform all our customers that due to unprecedented number of orders already having been received for take aways we can no longer accept any new orders for tonight. If our situation changes by later tonight I will update our status and let you all know. I'm extremely sorry for the disappointing news and hope you still have a wonderful new year 😊

A big thank you to everyone for all your votes! We've made it to the top 30 of the Welsh Curry House of the Year competition! As part of the competition we will soon be, for a limited time, offering on the menu a Welsh Lamb dish. Come and give it a go! The next stage of the competition involves a secret diner visiting the restaurant who will be judging us on quality of food, service, level of food knowledge, preparation and handling and cleanliness. I say bring on the final round, the Top 3!

User

Voting is over, now the wait! We'll soon find out who has gone through to round 2!

User

Just a reminder for everyone that tomorrow is the last day to vote for your favourite curry house. To place your vote visit www.welshcurryhouse.co.uk. Don't forget to leave a review. If we get through the public votes round, then the next round will be a visit from a 'secret diner' :D

We have been going to the Ashoka for about 15/20 years

We were greeted with hello Mrs Aston we have not seen you in a while, we hadn't been for a few months but they never forget their customers. The restaurant is spotless and well lit. The only criticism I could make is that tablecloths are no longer used and food is served on bare tabletops (on plates of course ) The Meal was delicious, staff very friendly and chatty, service excellent as usual. Will definitely be going back very soon.

User

We had another #Fantastic meal last night. Outstanding as always in so many ways. Congratulations to Miah and the guys on your #5Star #FoodHygieneRating #Bridgend.

User

Simply the best Indian meal I've had and not just that, what a nice group of gents working in there.

User

Nicest Indian I've ever had. Love this place staff are always friendly and the restraurant is clean, tidy and always well presented.

User

I’d like to thank the staff last night for helping out a crohns sufferer...... you are wonderful people and I hope to see you soon..

User

I would highly recommend it to anyone and most definitely be going back again and the services then is really good, they are really polite and they can't do enough for you while you are there xxx

User

Have been to Ashoka a number of times. We have always had good service and great food. Last night the food and service was excellent.

User

Fantastic restaurant! Heard a lot of praise before going and can say it was justified. Food was lovely and the staff were great, both friendly and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit!

User

Been going to the Ashoka now for 12 years. Love love love the place. Food and the flavours are fantastic. Plus the waiters are fab and friendly. Never had to wait long for a table. Would highly recommend if you've never been there before. Best Indian in town and wouldn't go anyway else. Tried a few over the years but only if we missed them being open but always keep coming back.

User

Absolutely amazing food always. Been going to Ashoka for years and we always recommend to others. Fantastic!

User

A party of 5 staying at a trecco holiday park found this restaurant by off chance after driving around for an hour trying to find an indian. Great food and great service and the most unusual toilets that flushed as you walked away. Many thanks x

User

Service was friendly and the food was good. If you're from the Black country the Balti is good but different to what you may be used to. My partner had the veggie pathia which was really nice and spicy.

User

Had a family meal here yesterday evening and the service and the food was of a high standard and not over spiced but gave the food a superb flavour.

User

Came here last night for the second time lovely food as per usual and coming from a Brummie that is a compliment, I suspect the chips are McCains though, but the service was swift and staff very pleasant x

User

We visited the Ashoka last night (and have been longstanding customers) and we were very disappointed. The food was certainly not up to their usual standard and the service was dire! The staff didn't appear to have a clue what they were doing, we had to wait a long while to get a drink and when they arrived they were all wrong!! To top it all, when we paid the bill, we paid part cash and part debit card and they ended up overcharging us £10!!! Will certainly think twice before we go there again. The only positive about the evening was the company we had!!!

User

Booked a table for 21.00 but only sat down at 22.10 which wasn't the best of starts and then the service was poor very slow and the food was not up to the standard, one of my friends couldn't even eat hers because it's was so hot not the usual standard, will not be retuning in the near future

User

The best part of the takeaway I just had was the chips , cannot believe that was supposed to b a chicken Biryani , not for me !, very disappointed

User

Staff were not well mannered at all, They put the food down, like they were throwing it, and kept asking if you finished your food all the time! And wiped the table down without asking to move. On top of everything the strongbow was poured from a 3ltr bottle into a glass and charged £4.00, which is very unprofessional, would definitely not go again.

User

Food was terrible, best part was the chips. Never had a chicken tikka masala taste like that before. service was ok but food wasn't!!
