Ask Italian

Went to Ask Italian today and was fab the food was lovely and the service was fabulous. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal xx

We went to Ask last night for my birthday meal, 5 adults and 1 child. Service was great and food was all cooked perfectly - and we are a fussy bunch so we were very impressed. Lovely touch of a free birthday glass of bubbly too, we will be back.

We went there for my sister In law baby shower and the service we received was fantastic and very friendly . . The food was beautiful we had a large variety of meals as it was a big party and every one enjoyed . . I am gluten free and am quite fussy with my food but there were happy to assist and the gluten free desert was outstanding better than any gf dessert I have had anywhere and for me that was a winner . . Thanks guys much love x x

We visited 30/6/18, service was FANTASTIC, I had the prawn and lobster pasta, my husband and friend both opted for the beef ragu, for starters we chose olives, garlic bread, prawn ring, for drinks I asked which wine would compliment my meal best, to which our waiter gave an honest answer not being a wine drinker, he sought advice and returned with 3 generous samples as options to choose from. Absolutely FANTASTIC service, and the food was perfect, our waiter gave 1st class service.

Lovely meal. Tasty food, lovely arancini, girasole pasta and Christmas chocolate gnocchi. Food took a realistic time to prepare as it's fresh. Friendly staff and nice warm, modern decor. Looking forward to trying some more ASK restaurants after this visit �

Just got back from an amazing meal with our family for our daughters 8th birthday. Delicious food and lovely staff who went above and beyond to keep us and our children happy. We can't recommend them enough. They made our daughters special day even more special! Thank you so much :)

It was mine and my boyfriend's first time having an Ask Italian and it was lovely. Everything was so tasty, it was well presented and we wished we'd had a starter. The place has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. And all the waitresses were nice, we were served by Joanna and she was so sweet and couldn't apologize enough when she forgot to give us our tap water and when giving us the wrong bill. Definitely will go again in the future.

Good food - excellent service. Catered very well for me & my two children (11 & 13)

Could not rate the whole experience any higher! We went for my staff leaving do as a table of 14 and everything was fantastic. Our waitress, Stacey was fantastic and she was absoloutely on top of everything. Would also like to thank manager Rob who although wasnt there, did a great job organising the booking and as it was a leaving doo for industry staff they gave us a fantastic 30% off and 2 free bottles of prosecco. The food was delicious and there was no long waiting times. Great portion sizes and seasoning. Drinks bought pretty quickly along with dessert. Also, would like to say as there was a few vegetarians among us, myself included, I would this is the best vegan/veggie friendly restauarant Ive ever been too.. They an entire vegan menu we were presented with straight away! Amazing choice of food. The whole night was just brill. Cant thank these guys enough! Thank you from all the Jack Murphys staff !

Lovely food a bit expensive if you ask me, didn’t have my first choice but 2nd choice was nice, Aragosta e gamberoni was nice with a chilli kick, desert I had a gelato gondola which didn’t come with a jug of chocolate sauce nor did I see any chocolate honeycomb , if it states that it should come with that, been here before and had same problem with things missing which states on a the menu,

My daughter booked a table for her partners birthday, it was the first time for us all to eat in Ask. Although it was a Monday evening nearly every table was taken, only three waiters/ waitress on and unfortunately although they were excellent we had to wait a very long time for our drinks order to be taken and even longer for the order to be filled and even longer for our food. Table was booked for 6.30 and we ate at 8.10 we only ordered a main course and dessert thankfully as the wait for each course and drinks was totally unacceptably. The food once it arrived was faultless though. Don't think we will be returning unfortunately.

I had lobster linguini with king prawn 14.5.2018

The paster was half cold on one side of the plate and boiling hot on the other side of the plate .

Service was good they did refund me my meal 👍

It was a birthday meal .. so I did spoil the celibrations a little 😡

Will definitely try it again another day .

Not impressed and quite disappointed. Small portion sizes, not seasoned enough, service was very pleasant but extremely slow besides running out of many ingredients which we then had to change our order. My daughter ordered an Eaton mess tower dessert and when it arrived the waitress said sorry we didn't have strawberries so I've sliced some 'grapes' into it then knocked the tower over by accident! She apologised and said it would be taken off Bill and also had a free coffee as we waited so long for my sons dessert whilst sitting there without spoons to eat our own dessert! When the bill arrived the dessert had been charged but was taken off after the explanation. Our bill was over £100 and therefore we will not be returning considering all the above.

A pleasant enough place with pleasant staff, but ordering and paying the bill was a logistical nightmare as some of us were eating from the lunch menu and some a large carte with a code for 30%off (only the main course though!!), and some paying cash and some paying with a debit card. Apparently you can't apply the 30% discount if there are set lunch menu choices on the bill because computer says No!! As for the food - nicely presented but two thin slices of toasted bread with a generous potion of chopped seasoned tomatoes are not going to spoil you for the main course which was a shame because the carbonara looked like a child's portion and was so bland and tasteless that I've tasted more appetizing baby food. I don't mind paying for good food but this was definitely not good value for money - famished when I got home - and won't be rushing back.

The restaurant really needs to sort the kitchen staff out and get in a good manager to get the place organised! Very disappointed.

Even though the food was good, we waited at least 40mins between the courses and each time we ordered drinks we didn't receive them until at least 20 minutes later or until I had to ask where our drinks were ( I had asked twice). And to top off the whole visit we had to work out who owed what for the meals ourselves, which took a lot of time because our bill was done incorrectly. In the end the whole experience was not worth it. Very poor service. The only positive part was majority of the staff was pleasant but not all.
