This lovely looking Bush record player came in with poor speed and very sluggish mechanical operation. Glad I took an interest in old equipment as a kid now! Mechanism stripped and cleaned, regreased, cleaned the internal chassis and crackly controls!

Control PCB's, Switchgear, Electronic Modules, Power Supplies, Lighting Units including LED's, Motor Control etc work undertaken... Call with details 😀

In need of some cassettes to test in the aid of repairing some tape decks... Will I lose sleep if they get chewed up I wonder 😂

Here's a blast from the past... Whilst finishing a VHS to DVD copy for a customer, this came up at the end of the tape!

This will be taking its position on one of the benches at ATD Electricals TV & Digital Repair... After a quick check and a temporary component repair along with a some replacement PL504 and PFL200 valves... yes VALVES we sort of got it going. Will post up more soon.

Tape deck repairs... Complete service including belts and pinch roller on this Sony deck... Now to play that old 'compilation' tape! 😎

Finally got this little old Grundig radio back to its original working order... A helpful chap in Germany had the original volume control still in stock which completed the repair for whom is now... a happy customer!

ITV3 - I've just discovered that ITV3 has been added to the list of channels to the Bethesda North and St Ann's transmitters. I'm not sure if this is just a test but you can find it on your TV/PVR /Freeview box remote by pressing 788. This might be the same for other 'Local' transmitters, but I'm not sure.

Turntables are coming in at a busy rate at the moment... Here's a nice looking popular Technics SL1200 MK2 which required a power issue fault sorting. It came in complete with original box and packing!

LED TV screens backlight repairs are now common on the workshop bench... Nice change to repair the older CCFL version for a change! This had a crack in its insulation which caused a fault.

I'm aiming to try something out for 2018... I know we are in the age of 'flat screen' tv's - but I feel that I need to get a project going! That's why I'm on the lookout for an old 'Tube/CRT' TV from around the 70's era to use in the shop!. It has to have a wooden cabinet (but might consider something else)... Happy New Year... And now back in the shop! I had to repair a Tannoy Powered Subwoofer this afternoon and was stuck for a little transistor which I eventually found on an old Toshiba CRT tube base board! Perfect for the job and shows nothing goes to waste!
