Making Tax Digital is set to be one of the major changes in book keeping and accounting next year, and will see TAX records move to a digital platform and VAT submissions needing to be sent to HMRC via compatible software! On my way to London to visit a client and provide demo and training for Xero ahead of their switch over on January 1st! Great to see businesses getting prepared for Making Tax Digital in April. Whilst using cloud based software means distance is no object, having a trip to London is certainly a nice perk of the job! I may even fit in a spot of Christmas shopping on my way home ... !

Bank Holidays around Christmas and New Year may affect your payroll dates, and you may need to adjust payroll provisions to ensure employees are paid on time.
