This is one of those very rare places that, in a few dishes, can silence a table- not because they are all dead- but because the food is phenomenal. Key amongst the food porn on offer is chicken livers in a rich XO sherry cream sauce, decadent and perfectly crispy iberico croquettes and truffled manchego with blossom honey- a dish so good it made me cry. Also don't forget the churros which blow your mind in an explosion of cinnamon and melted chocolate. Add to this artisan cocktails, a stylish interior and staff that are so cool they would embarrass a polar bear in its native habitat and you have Bar 44 Cowbridge.

Great food, nice bear, good service. A little pricey, but not unreasonable.
